Hi! We're going to Disney in May! Going for first time with my 10month old and 5 yr old daughters! We've planned to go to Magic Kingdom three days in a row. I've split up the days by getting fastpasses for different rides/princess meets each day. We also have a bday party for my niece at Cinderellas castle the second day. We are going with grandparents and a set of in laws and their kids. They like to take there time and go slow type of people, and they don't like waiting a long time for anything lol We don't want to rush around, being our stress level is already high travelling with other family members lol and are planning on standing in long lines for rides! Are goal is to go slow, see everything (including all parades, and night time shows) we also want to take advantage of our resort, by spending a chunk of time there mid days in the pool, and possibly going to downtown Disney one afternoon, and even leaving the park around 6 one night so when can get a good night sleep! We don't have park hoppers, only there for 5days, we know which parks were doing the other two days. I'm happy with my decision, and feel it's sounds some what relaxing, knowing that if we have meltdowns, or accidents, or need to leave MK for whatever reason ect we have 3 days to fill in what we missed! Plus I think knowing we have 3 days will keep me calm and will thus lessen any chance of fighting with the hubby haha! However on another forum when I mentioned 3days at MK a lot of ppl said I'm nuts! I figured 3days was a good number, and I already have fastpasses for all the major attractions including Elsa and Anna meet and greet! I just don't want to be stressed out, Or rushed, and with a 10monthold and a 5yr old I feel this is the best option?! Advice?

Good plan! If you take your time you will enjoy the trip much more.

I took my youngest at 4 months old and we had our adr's and just went with the flow the entire trip. We went where my oldest wanted to go and had no expectations of doing everything. Everyone was relax and really enjoyed the trip.

3 days at MK sounds perfectly reasonable, especially with younger kids and people who enjoy a slower pace.

3 days at the MK, I could spend my whole trip there...we're in our mid sixties, grandchildren usually along for the trip and I enjoy the MK best of all....don't care for AK at all, rarely go there ...as for EPCOT and HS....take them or leave them... We've done WDW 50 times and I get more enjoyment out if the MK... To each their own, others have favorite parks and attractions but for us....MK says it all..

It sounds WONDERFUL! The park is so magical, it will give you a chance to soak in the details. Your 5yo might also like to play the Sorcerers of the Magic kindom game and with 3 days it will give you time to a little each day if you want.

We're doing the exact same thing on our next trip! Three days at MK, and one day each at DHS and Epcot. Our three kids are 5 and under and will have the most fun at MK. Last year we did three days there, too and it was perfect.

It sounds wonderful! On our trip this summer we have 5 out of the 7 days planned to be at MK for at least half the day if not the
Whole day. We have 2 boys ages 6 & 4 and we just prefer to be there a lot. We go to Epcot in the afternoon on a lot of the days for dinner and night time fun. We go to HS and AK once each and usually leave after lunch time.

We went on our first trip last May 2013. We did MK for 3 days and 1 day at Epcot. Some people wondered why we only did 2 parks. For us, it was perfect. DD was 5 and it was mostly about meeting princesses... And we did meet everyone except for Pocaahontas who was at AK. The 3 days at MK allowed us to have a more relaxed tour as well as enjoy the resort one afternoon. We're planning on going back early next year, and I think we will have a similar plan.

A couple years ago we went for 6 park days, doing three at MK and one at each of the other three parks. By day 3 at MK (our last park day) our kids were still gung-ho but husband and I were a little "eh" and had to take a deep breath and summon up some extra enthusiasm. Part of it was we go during low crowds, so we had already done everything, repeatedly, the first two days. I'm sure if we went when there were longer waits three days would be great.

This time we are doing 2 days at MK, AK, HS and one at Ep. :cool1:

Sounds like a good plan. I would also suggest Hollywood Studios for at least a day - my kids have loved it from their first trip (they call it the Pixar Park).

I think it's an awesome idea! We're spending 2 full days and 1 evening in the MK on our upcoming trip - and we're Disneyland locals! But with the age of your kids, I think you're going to love this plan.
