DH and I would love to see Mickey's Philharmagic and since it is not scary I thought we might go see it together with our DS (will be 20 months when we go). However, (don't laugh at my ignorance here) can you see the movie without the glasses? I assume you can see the movie but does it look funny? Will DS be able to see Donald, etc. clearly?

I just don't think DS would keep the glasses on although I am sure he would love to play with them.

Thanks!

DD didn't want to wear the glasses (was too scared of some of the 3d effects) so watched most of the movie without them so I peeked to see what it was like.

It was just kinda odd, cause you saw two images, really. It still was crisp and clear, but not the same without the 3D...

Yes, without the glasses most 3D movies look like you're seeing double, a very fuzzy double at that! A child can still enjoy the show without the glasses, at least the music, lights and special effects.
Never understood parents that tell their little ones to take off their glasses if they get scared in 3D movies at WDW. I guess I don't understand how two fuzzy snakes are less scary than one clear one! Oh well!

Agreed with the little fuzzy double look, but I am sure she will enjoy it. Maybe even more. The 3D effect may frighten her.

Two fuzzy snakes or mice way up there on stage are definitely less scary than one in full clear view that is right at your nose!

Was taking the subway one day and while waiting for the train saw a mouse scampering around down on the tracks which were some three feet below the platform level. Someone near me remarked, "look at the mouse". Someone else said in a slightly horrified voice, "I hope it stays down there."

SeashoreCM, looking at your link, I assume you're a member of the HTF?

When we went to WDW when the kids were little (don't remember if it was 94 or 97) my oldest DD was young. We went into Honey I Shrunk the Audience and when that snake came out, my daughter positively FREAKED!! :earseek: I remember her screaming and holding her ears. I leaned over to tell her to take the glasses off and the snake would go away. She was so scared, she just sreamed "NO!!!!!". To this day (she was 11 on our last trip last Dec.), she will go into the movies but refuses to put the glasses on!! :crazy2: Even in something funny like Muppets or It's Tough to be a Bug, she will not do it!! She is NOT taking that chance again!! :teeth:
