3D Door Decorations Allowed?

Are there any restrictions on door decorations that stick out a few inches or do all items on the door have to be absolutely flat? The item I am interested in putting on the door is a faux life-preserver and would be attached by magnet. Just want to make sure i can bring it and display it on the the door before I take up space in my suit case to bring it aboard.

I was on a halloween cruise and someone had a battery-operated light up wreath. It was there for 7 days. As for the subject of the material - a life preserver, might want to make sure it isn't considered an actual life preserver, incase someone gets the wrong idea!
