I would find it a bit odd for first cousins to have the same first name. As a middle name? I wouldn't give it a second thought.
We see each other enough. As i said, I have no idea where she got the name from. We asked but they didn’t answer. It’s just a middle name so it probably won’t come up but I still find it strange.
No. She’s just born my kid is almost 9. And she never once said that she had that name picked for her kids. Whatever this is kind of what I expectedly on here
You don’t have anything to add just keep scrolling. I’ve seen worse on here
Well, I named DD the same as her first cousin without realizing it. DH's neice is Katie, I had only known her as Katie. When DD was born we named her Catherine. DH never said a word. When we told Katie's mother (DH's sister) what we named her she said 'oh that's Katie's name and spelled the same!'
I seriously had no idea her name was Catherine. We have always called DD by her full name and the cousin is still called Katie except for business. We are talking about a middle name? Really, no big deal and I wouldn't worry at all. I mean your brother should be able to use his mother's name too.
70's kid here. I think 1/3 of the girls my age had Marie as a middle name. And then another 1/3 had my Middle name (Ann). If a name was more obscure, I might raise an eyebrow. But Marie, nope.
Middle name. Not first.
