365 days of Pixie Dust! -- complete

Hooray for another visit to WDW! I love that you introduced your mom to Soarin'....how fun! I like Living With The Land, too...you should ride it at night; it's really cool in the dark. (BTW, off topic, but your mom's sandals are adorable!)

Following along :)

Yay! Welcome! :)

I love the Minnie Ring!
Thank you! It makes me smile everytime I look at my right hand!

Joining in (: the minnie ring is so cute!
Welcome! Thank you and Thank you!
Glad to have you reading a long!

She loved it! I'll have to try it at night. I've never done that:) And I'll tell my mom you liked her shoes... she'll be very excited!

Where were we headed? None other than my favorite park via my favorite mode of transportation, The Monorail<333 Words cannot describe how much love I have for the monorail. And for the first portion of the ride, we had a car all to ourselves.

008.jpg

We arrived at the TTC to absolute craziness, so our second monorail ride wasn’t quite as enjoyable. But in no time, we were walking down Main Street USA and gazing at the castle!

Our goal was to get as much of Fantasyland as possible. I like going on Fantasyland rides when it’s daylight out and when crowds are low, so even though we were going to be back for EMHs later, I really wanted to ride as many classics as we could early on.

So we took a spin on the new and improved Dumbo. We literally walked on despite the wait time saying 15 minutes. My mom was a little sad that Dumbo was so far away from his original location, but I think it’s worth it!

014.jpg

Next up was the shortest, jerkiest, and best rollercoaster ever: The Barnstormer. Another favorite!

017.jpg

A little girl’s Minnie ears fell off on this ride. So sad:(

Then we headed to the teacups, another walk on! I was really surprised at the low wait times in Fantasyland considering the crowds. We chose a pink and yellow teacup (my favorite!), and spun until we were dizzy. They should really give you a minute to sit still and recover before they make you get up and walk!!

We were all getting hungry. That’s what getting up at 4 AM and skipping breakfast does to you! But we decided to squeeze in a ride on Pooh! I love this ride because Pooh and all his hundred-acre wood friends are some of my all-time favorite characters. The wait-time said 20 minutes, but we only waited 10.

We were so accomplished and had such a great morning in Fantasyland, but we couldn’t ignore our hunger any longer.

Next up: Lunch and a not-so-magical encounter

I am SO jealous! lol I would love to live close enough to WDW to have an annual pass but I just moved to the Los Angeles area so now I can get an annual pass for Disneyland! (not as good as WDW but I'll take it :rotfl2:)

I love your pics - you all look so happy! It's hard to believe you've been up since 4 am :faint: Fantasyland looks so empty - you really scored on that!

And I'm jealous because I really want to go to Disneyland (even though I know that I'd be partial to WDW!)

It was weird... The crowds were crazy, but we didn't wait much at all! It was great:)
Enjoy reading!

No one could decide what they wanted for lunch except me, so we all ended up at Columbia Harbor House. I was in the mood for Disney chicken nuggets. Seriously, they’re the best! Ally got an apple and my mom got the Broccoli salad. They were both happy with their choices. But for $10.00, I think that the salad should have been a lot bigger. It almost looked like a side salad.

My favorite thing about Columbia Harbor House is the décor and the atmosphere. We sat upstairs all by ourselves and it was such a nice break from all the people below us.

021.jpg

After our lunch, we felt so much better and were ready to keep going. We went to grab BTMRR fast passes, and then we headed to Aladdin’s magic carpets. This is a ride I usually skip, but we figured we had time. The camel spit water on us the second the ride started. My mom and Ally were not happy, but I thought it was pretty refreshing on such a hot day!

022.jpg

After our magic carpet ride, we headed to see Philaharmagic, AKA tour group central! We almost couldn’t sit together because people don’t follow the “please move all the way down the aisle” rule. But a nice man sat his daughter on her lap so she could see better and we could sit all together.
As always, it was great! I love all the music and precious Donald! Best 3D movie in the world!! My mom later deemed this as one of the highlights of her day.

We were all getting tired fast, and the experience we were about to have would make it so much worse.

We had made our way back to Frontierland, hopped in the Thunder mountain fast pass line, and as soon as it was our turn in line, all hell broke loose. A girl had apparently gotten sick on the train on our side of the ride. They had to shut down that train and I guess that’s a situation that doesn’t happen often… because none of the CMs knew what to do. They all acted like it was their first day of work ever. They were all clearly very stressed out, making the atmosphere a little uncomfortable.

Their solution was to pull people from both sides of the line. Well in this process, a family cut off my mother. They were clearly in such a rush despite the fact that we were all going to the same place. The CM putting people in lines, Mark, literally yelled at me for separating from my party. It was completely not our fault. And if he was going to yell at all, it should have been aimed at the family that cut in between us. Then Mark proceeded to grumpily put us in a spot. All 3 of us… in one row. We’re all small people, but I don’t know if y’all have ever tried to squeeze 3 grown people into one row of that ride. It’s not fun!

When I questioned Mark about this (politely questioned!), he got up in my face and once again yelled at me

By the time the ride started, I was in tears! I cried through 75% of my favorite ride in Walt Disney World. I guess all the anticipation and sleep deprivation had finally caught up to me.

I did write a letter to Disney about the lack of magic and unprofessionalness of the BTMRR cast members, particularly Mark. But, I have yet to hear from them in response.

We were all ready for our break and super excited to see more of CSR and our room.

So TTFN, Magic Kingndom!

After waiting forever for a bus, we were on our way “home.”

Back at our home for the weekend, we got off at Bus stop #2 because our room was in building 7A, in the Ranchos section. It was as far as possible from El Centro. But it was on the first floor and super close to a bus stop, so I can’t complain. My mom went to drive the car around while Ally and I checked out the room.

It was a beautiful room! We encountered a couple problems throughout the stay with the cleanliness of it. But it was definitely pretty!

027.jpg

I loved the doors separating the room from the bathroom!

After my mom returned, it took me all of 5 minutes to unpack. So I decided to take a walk and see more of this beautiful resort while Ally and my mom relaxed and settled into our room.

029.jpg

031.jpg

After a quick pit stop to lay in one of the hammocks on the “beach,” I finally made it to El Centro. I checked out the gift shop and then started my long trek back. It’s a huge resort!

Look who I found:
032.jpg

Looooove it!

When I got back to the room, we all changed. We were ready for an early dinner and a little off-property adventure.

033.jpg

Any guesses where we were going?!
.
.
.
.
It was cow appreciation day! And as much as I hate leaving property, I love free Chickfila chicken! And of course, we had to be hidden-mickey cows, complete with Mickey ears.

037.jpg

Chickfila was yummy (as always!) and the price was right. But it was time to head back onto property because my two favorite parks were on the agenda for that evening.

I'm still reading! I love your report..its so fun to hear about your year!!

After quickly changing out of our cow attire and into normal clothes, we headed to Epcot.
042.jpg

As we arrived, most people were exiting the park for the night. We bypassed Future World and headed towards the World Showcase.

Beginning in Canada, we leisurely made our way around the surprisingly-empty WS, taking in our beautiful surroundings, stopping to check out the different shops, and scoping out the delicious food offerings for future reference (more specifically caramel treats, school bread, and falafel.) I was disappointed to see that the pumpkin spice funnel cake in the American Tradition had been replaced by Strawberry in the past few weeks, but hopefully it will be back in the Fall!

In the UK, I had something very specific on my to-do list. We were going to meet Pooh and Tigger! I love that this character spot is so hidden. There is never a line!

043.jpg

My momma was rocking her Pooh shirt on this night! Pooh was quite a fan!!

As we headed towards France, we enjoyed the music of British Revolution. I would love to see their entire set one time.

When we got to Norway, it seemed like the crowds were picking up. I took note of the Maelstrom wait time. It was at 25 minutes. We opted to skip it in favor of The Gran Fiesta Tour. I know I'm in the minority, but I'll take the Three Caballeros over Maelstrom any day!

With absolutely no wait, we boarded our boat and journeyed through Mexico. We talked about the amazing ambiance of San Angel Inn, and we made a pact to eat there one day.

We weren't ready to leave the beautiful Mexican pavilion quite yet. We headed to La Cava de Tequila so that my Momma could try their famous Avocado Margarita.

044.jpg

The bar was crowded, and we had to wait a while to get service. But according to my mom, this drink was worth the wait! I must admit, it looked delicious, and Ally and I were really wishing we were 21.

We found a bench by the fountain to relax and enjoy our surroundings while my mom finished her drink.

When we had had enough, we made our way towards the International Gateway exit. We decided to catch a bus to Magic Kingdom at the Beach Club. We didn't have to wait long for a bus, but the ride seemed to take forever.

Around 8 o'clock, we arrived at Magic Kingdom. There were EMH this night until 2 am, and it showed!! We were welcomed by HUGE crowds of people, and more particularly, lots of Brazilian tour groups!!

The only thing better than a Chickfila sandwich is a FREE Chickfila sandwich!

Your photos of the resort are really good...I love the topiary (the three caballeros, right?). Nobody does topiaries like Disney!

Who doesn't love Pooh and the gang? That photo is too adorable!

I love the Mexico pavilion...mmmm, Margaritas! :thumbsup2

Disney has the BEST topiaries! And my strange obsession with the 3 caballeros made this one precious!
:thumbsup2

And now for a short but sweet update...

Our number one order of business was to meet my two favorite mice! The wait was 20 minutes (which was kind of high), but we didn’t mind waiting in the nice A/C. We thought about meeting the princesses, but the wait time was insane! Ever since Rapunzel moved in there, it’s been pure craziness. Ugh!

Our meet and greet was great though. They are precious, every single time. Minnie got a little attitude with Mickey for all the attention he was showing us.

Our main goal tonight was to see wishes, and that’s about all we got done too!

But first we rode the TTA, the best ride on earth!

DSC01993.jpg

And then took a spin on the carousel. I love all of the princess music in the background. It makes it so magical!

DSC01997.jpg

We grabbed some fries, water and Diet Coke to snack on and then fought our way back to Main Street for MM&Y and wishes.

Both were amazing. Wishes makes me cry everytime! But it always amazes me how many people think that MM&Y is wishes. They get all upset, and then leave… Really people?!

And then we started the very slow crawl out of the park and to the busses. Our big plans of 2 AM extra magic hours were just not happening. We were exhausted!!

Back in the room, we were all soon asleep.

I love meeting Mickey and Minne in the Town Square Theatre! Love the TTA too!
