35th ann. for WDW?

Am I wrong or is WDW/MK's 35th this Oct? And if it is why aren't there any rumors of anything to commemerate it?--(please no cake castels!) Is POTC going to be partialy billed as this? and maybe the same HM update as DL? Space mountain?

Sorry to repost so soon. The reason why I thought about it is because I'm getting married at Seabreeze pointe @ BWI on Oct 9th....Sooooo I was hoping if there were plans they would be done by Oct 1st which I think is the Ann. Date?

I am only guessing here, but I'm thinking that Disneyland's 50th overshadows this and they decided not to use it and wait for 40th. It's alot more significant than 35th. WDW's 35th which seems a bit trivial by comparison.

There probably won't be a celebration. However, there will probably be something to commemorate the anniversary - like a litho and a cel. That's what they did on WDW's 30th, although the cel didn't come out until after the anniversary had passed.

There may not be anything big for WDW's 35th, but Epcot will probably be spruced up for its 25th next year.

I am hoping there will at least be a pin and a christmas ornament. I have a pin for each of the 5 year celebrations since we started going on their 20th.

I would definitely expect commemorative merchandise for the 35th anniversary of WDW — but I wouldn't expect much else.
