You have my deepest sympathy. Our boxelders have not yet arrived for the season. Since our house faces north, the entire back of our house can get covered with them. They like to hang out on the INSIDE of our patio door. How they get in is beyond me! It is so disgusting, but we have found that spraying doors and windows with a Dawn dishwashing detergent solution has helped a little. We mix about 2-3 tbsp. of Dawn with water in a spray bottle and just let them have it. If it's any consolation, the ones you spray it on directly do die pretty quickly.
