Not sure if this has aleady come up but thought I'd post anyway. After speaking to disney today they said they've changed the deposit amount from 10% to 35% for the new brochure, so arrivals from 7th Nov to June 2012, she said she doesn't know if this is going to stay forever :confused3

Has anyone else come across this?

yes, apparently now if you book under an offer (and why anyone would pay full brochure price is beyond me ;)) you pay 35% as a deposit. If you are not booking under an offer, you can pay 10% as your deposit.

Exactly! Brochure price is way over the top and I'm happy with the price for DLH. I just have to do some serious juggling, wish I'd realised before I booked our summer hols for next year :rolleyes1

I booked a few weeks ago and the terms and conditions were stating the 35% deposit yet when I called the lady just took 10% deposit and Im sure another member on here quoted the same at around the same time... Im not sure if its changed since but it was no more than 4 weeks ago.

DLH? Whats that an acronym for? The 35% deposit is a sizeable difference to find upfront though or for when the card statement needs to be paid!

When we booked our December trip last month with the Christmas offer we had to pay a 35% deposit - I'm new to booking with Disney and assumed 35% was the norm!

Disneyland Hotel aka The Pink Palace :goodvibes

I've always had to pay 100% up front for my holidays here, wonder if Disney France is deposit possible ?

Edit - If I do a dummy booking for 5 nights starting 30/9 for 2 at SL I have to pay the whole 1 163,40 € upfront today :scared1:

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I've been lead to believe that deposits can only be left on bookings made over the phone.

I don't know (as I've never booked either way :)) but if I look at mum2threemonsters post it seems like she booked on line and it stated 35% and then when she phoned they only asked for 10%

I have seen for some TO in the UK that you put in your card details and they take a % at booking off the card and the rest 30 days before travel again from that card without you having to recontact them

if you make a UK online booking you have to pay the full amount, there is no option to pay a deposit only - you only get the deposit option if you call Disney to book instead of online :).

We have just booked over the phone for June next year. We had to pay a 35% deposit and they will use the same card details to take the rest of the money in April. The only trouble is our card will have expired by then but I was planning on paying this year.

Well as it turns out my eurostar dates still aren't available until 13th August so 35% or not I'm going to have to hold out my booking and hope that I can still get something I want next month :headache:

Am going to have a few weeks of checking websites and stressing now until I get sorted!

Id go ahead and book I've never known of anyone not being able to book eurostar. if you ring and put your name down they'll ring you the day your dates go on sale.

I've thought about just booking and hoping for the best with the eurostar fares but would need to get the fares under £250 for the 3 of us in order to make the numbers work. It probably means waiting for the indirect fares as the outward part of the journey has been released on the direct fares are over £200 as it is!

If I end up paying over that it means I'll have to give up the idea of DLH for now and go to HNY as before :headache:

Yes I booked on the phone. Id priced it up on the internet and scanned the terms and conditions online and saw that it was a 35% deposit, so I called up to book, managed to save £43 compared to the online price and was only quoted a 10% deposit so I immediately paid. Id definately reccomend calling to book, the lady was really friendly and confirmed everything with me several times!

When is it you plan on going?
