We usually do a character breakfast and have always gone to CM in the past. This year we are thinking of trying Tusker House w/Donald. When I was looking at the prices it said that CM is $35.99 for breakfast. That is more than dinner. Is that right? We went in 2008 and I think it was about $21.00.

Can someone confirm this?

Thanks

Where did you see that price? Allears has it listed as $22.99. http://allears.net/menu/menu_cmb.htm

We were just there for breakfast in November and I'm pretty sure it was the $22.99. I say pretty sure, because we had the dining plan and I didn't pay as good attention as I would have had I been paying out of pocket!

It is on the DIS website under dining. When you pick CM it tells you what they serve and then lists the price.

It looks like the Allears post is a year old. Could this have gone up so much just recently?

Wow.

I'll have to check when I get home and see if the receipt shows the price. I think I kept all of them. Although some zeroed out when they applied the dining plan. I'll report back what they charged if I have it (of course they could have gone up since then). I just can't believe they would go up that much. That's crazy! No breakfast is worth that... $23 is pushing it!

We have never done a character breakfast because:

1) Overprices waffles
2) We want to get to the park before it open
3) Afraid to ride all the "wild" rides on a full stomach

We stick with dinners. Counter service breakfasts and lunches then bigger dinners (and character meals/shows).

Good luck.

I've been trying to figure this out as well. The official disney website gives a range for breakfast at Chef Mickey's (and all the breakfast buffets) as $15-35.99. I assume $15 is for kids and $35.99 is adults. That just seems like excess compared to last year if true!

Think Mom2 has given a better reply than I had planned.

CRT is $31.99, a 2TS meal and includes a photo package for your group. I can't imagine CM's would cost more.

The prices on the website are just the general price category, not the actual menu prices. It just means your meal will fall within that range: $$=a range of $15-$35.99; $$$=$36.00-$59.99, etc.

The only way it would cost that is if they automatically included the photo package...same as at Akershus.
Otherwise, no, it shouldn't be close to that amount.

I think it can be that high during holidays. My family and I (4) went to Chef Mickey's over Thanksgiving weekend and the bill was over 90 dollars for 3 (youngest DS did not pay)!! Needless to say, I about fell in the floor. I went to other buffets later in the week and had dinner at Chef Mickeys later also (on dining plan) and it was much cheaper.
