Something clicked when I read your post, Heidi: Mystery Science Theater 3000! I love witty people. That's why I'd watch them do a show on anything - because the conversation is never boring!

Kept forgetting to comment - I love witty people too (and have been told I'm pretty "snarky and fun" :) ), and used to LOVE watching MST3000, and would have loved to be a part of it. I'm kind of like Teresa that way, in that as I people watch with one of my fave travel buddies at one of our fave people watching spots (WDW), we make up back stories, make comments, etc.,. kind of like MST3000. :)

I too am very excited for this podcast! I can't get enough of all the DIS content. They do such an amazing job and we are truly blessed that they continue to bring a bit of Disney etc. into our lives week after week. It makes me feel I am living closer to the magic than I really am.

I liked it...

might be worthwhile (time permitting) to playlist and link in all the existing abd and little videos that are appropriate on the youtube site.

Does anyone know if this is falling into the dis unplugged itunes feed or is it a separate subscription like the trip etc?

On the last show before the hiatus, I believe Craig said that the first show would be in the regular WDW show feed, but then after that it would have its own feed.

Excellent. Thanks for the update. I must have missed that part. Brain is still overloaded from all of the food consumption the past 2 months. Too many holiday parties.

I enjoyed it - this first one did feel a bit like a plug/commercial for dreams unlimited, but to be expected for the first one and to explain how the company is run, etc. .... but very interested to see where it goes from here! Nice to meet some new people too - and I think a great idea to feature some of the agents to put faces to names

ARGH!!!! I missed the first live show! And here I've been sitting all day wishing for a DIS show. (I think my brain is on hiatus too, because I've been working my way through the archives. I could've done that too.) Well, tomorrow may be a DIS marathon day!

they didn't do a live show, it was just posted..

I think it's the best place they could have started. In my opinion, it's very appropriate for this to be the upsell channel for them. They've been so great with keeping everything not about them or ad like in the past that it's long overdue to have a channel to be that way.

Just to be clear, I have absolutely no problem with is and I am sure there are a lot of listeners to the podcasts not fully aware of exactly what Dreams Unlimited is and this was great for that. Just my opinion of how it came off and very much looking forward for where it goes from here!

I use their own policy toward Disney with them. I love them but will point out when I think something is wrong. I just wanna say I find it very hypocritical of Pete to talk about how they had no experience as travel agents when they started DUT, then Tracy says a few minutes later, they will only hire experienced travel agents. How do you know there aren't people out there who would make phenomenal travel agents who have no experience, just like all of you did? I didn't like that at all.

There's nothing hypocritical about that. Starting a business from scratch and running a successful business with lots of moving parts at high standards are two different beasts.

I'll speak just for myself as a small business owner. When my business was started (essentially from nothing) I had the time to hire individuals who didn't have experience in the field and I trained them. At this point (years later) there just isn't the time to train inexperienced people to my standards, particularly if they ultimately decide the work isn't for them. The reality is I have far more applications with experience than I have positions. I think that's a common evolution of many successful businesses.

I enjoyed the new podcast. Looking forward to upcoming episodes.

I disagree, everyone needs to start somewhere and everyone deserves a chance, but I wish you and them all the success in the world.

Loved it. Thanks a lot. I am not familiar with things such as cruising, ABD, etc... and we are currently planning an Aulani/DLR honeymoon, so I'm thinking there will be lots of valuable info for us. :)
