34 Year Old Birthday Dinner!

I just scheduled our Disney trip this spring to coincide with my 34th birthday! Yes, yes, I know it will be the first Disney experience for my daughters (5 & 3) but I want it to be all about ME on my birthday!

So, I'd love to hear your recommendations for a fabulous birthday dinner for 34 year old princess. DH and I haven't decided if the kids will be w/ a babysitter or not, so if having kids changes things, let me know.

I've already made ADR's for Chef Mickey's, Biergarten, Rose & Crown and Askherhaus. We're pretty adventurous and we will eat all kinds of food (my kids even love sushi.)

DH has good memories of a "special" dinner at one of the France restaurants when he was a kid. Are they still good?

California Grill is good. I think it depends on what type of atmosphere you want, though. There aren't too many ways you could go wrong though! I was there for my 30th and really wanted to do 1900 Park Fare for my birthday, but couldn't get reservations there. Oh well - next time!

I guess I'm looking for something nicer, more grown up, maybe quieter. Our other choices are all about characters and beer (for DH) so Mama likes wine, healthy food (I eat vegetarian about 75% of the time) and a good dessert since I plan on telling every server I see that it's my birthday.

With kids, I'm looking at Coral Reef or Bistro de Paris...?

Without kids, I'm looking at Artist's Point or California Grill. We'll be at WL and if we leave the kids behind, I don't want to be too far.

Thoughts?

We did California Grill with our 2 (ages 1 and 3) and they did just fine in there. It was delicious! They brought out a plate of goldfish for the kids as soon as we sat down, which kept them happy. Plus their meal there (grilled chicken tenders with vegetables) was delicious. honestly, the best kids meal they've ever had. One of them is an extremely picky eater, and she really loved it as well. We had a great experience there!

We did Kids Nite out babysitting while we were in disney and we went out to dinner at California Grille..it was fabulous. I personally would not bring my kids there..only for the reason that I don't think it would be as enjoyable. Lots of people do bring kids. I also like to go to eat an hour before the fireworks show so you can sit and watch from your table. We have had window tables both times and it was amazing..That is too late for my kids to be eating dinner..my kids want to eat by 5

The NICEST place is Victoria and Alberts ( without kids), of course, V & A is the most expensive, so it depends on your budget of course. But, that is top of the line! It is our most favorite place...

My husband and I love wine... I love to be healthy - so I am right with you.

Our favorite choices for your b/day would be ( close to WL)
1) California Grill
2) Artist's Point
3) Citrico's
4) Bistro de Paris -- not sure about kids here... others can comment, we don't have kids yet : )

For where to bring the kids, I would assume on how they do at dinner.. where not to bring kids, I guess I would just say Bistro and *maybe* AP. Of course, I am sure others will know the more kid friendly options.
