I just checked the touring plans app and it said the posted wait time for Anna and Elsa is 325 minutes. The expected time is 268!

Would you ever step into a line if you were told that the expected wait was 5 1/2 hours?

I wouldn't stop for either time.

I do wonder where all of these people are lining up.

Never!!! It amazes me that there are this number of people doing so to make the wait that long. I don't get it at all.

did you check in different apps to be sure?? :worried:
I know they are the most popular characters right now, but 5.5 hours!! Plus it has FP+ now, so that should help improve the times from Epcot.
Imagine how it is going to be like in peak summer times!!
I just guess that this benefits the wait time in other attractions?

Never. I refuse to wait any longer than 30-45 minutes for anything. My DD would be a melting miserable mess by the time it was her turn to meet them 5 1/2 hours later!

I would regroup and get there early enough the next day (or next day we can get back go the MK) only be at the front of the rope drop crowd. I'd wear my running ...... I mean "walking with purpose"........ shoes. Then I'd run. ;)

Thankfully we typically do more than 1 MK day on our trips. And we always plan the harder to do things on our first day.

As far as I can tell, the MDE app doesn't have wait times available for meet and greets. Any one have an app besides touring plans?

I also want to know where I can find wait times for A&E and other characters?:confused3

People have been waiting in line for them at Epcot for that long, or longer, since the movie came out.

I think it's established that the MK venue moves through more guests than Epcot did, and the waits are only getting slightly shorter (the week after Easter is a big attendance week, Epcot may have been up to 7 hours by now), so they are likely attracting more people. And then there is the Fastpass availability which you didn't get in Norway. FPs go first. (That'll help those who have FPs but it won't make the standby lines any shorter)

Nope. Never. We'd wave from afar and keep rollin.

I'm with the pp who said 30-45 is their max wait time. Same for us ::yes::

What I don't understand is how these facilities have the capacity to hold enough people for a 4-5 hour wait. Is that really possible? Or are A&E giving everyone a 1/2 hour of time and that's why it's taking forever? ;)

Joking aside though, did the Norway facility or PFT hall really have that much room to hold a 4-5 hour long line(or longer for that matter)? It seems so absurd to me, but maybe I'm underestimating how much space PFT hall takes up.

Geez, are they using 2 sets as well?

It didn't, that is why they are at MK now.

If you have been to Norway during the reign of A&E, you saw the lines that snaked around the inside of the pavilion, past Akershus (you had to fight through if you wanted to check in for Akershus, and then if you were waiting for Akershus you couldn't just hang in the pavilion - they had a "holding pen" just for Akershus) and into the China pavilion. (Those were the 4-5 hour lines - a 7 hour one may have taken up some space in the China pavilion.)

Okay, that makes a lot more sense. I was wondering where they suddenly got tons of space in the tiny Norway area. I hadn't seen any pictures so I was confused.

What about the PFT hall queue though? Does that really fit the huge lines? I'm genuinely curious so I'd love to see pictures if anyone has any!

Posted had changed to 335. Onward and upward!

Also, the FP+ is killing this line. Saw some tweets from one of the Touring guys and with a 3 hour line, he saw A&E in ~5 minutes with FP.

It may not have been built for lines quite that long, but it is much better suited to it than Norway is.

Yep. Plus, there is space outside PFT for them to set up an extended queue that snakes back and forth with ropes. At least until 7DMT opens. When that happens, that section of Fantasyland is going to be a mess.

Isn't there a rarely used/rarely open QS restaurant right next to PFT (Friar's Nook, maybe?). Maybe they can use that as an extended queue.

ETA: Nevermind. I just looked at a pic of Friar's Nook and that wouldn't work.

Geez, are they using 2 sets as well?

That's the reason they moved to MK. FP+ guests have priority access to the first opening which makes the standby guests have the longer wait.
