Saturday 26th May

We slept in really late today so once we were ready we headed straight to lunch in Tritons. I had meatloaf followed by chocolate cake with an Illusion cocktail and Mike had halibut and apple pie.

We went back to the room to put on some layers as the weather wasn't looking too good and it looked like rain then headed off the ship to explore Ketchiken, we didn't book a tour today. We walked through downtown to Creek Street then rode the funicular up, we rode for free as no one was manning it which was a bonus.

It was raining a bit now but we carried on walking up to the Totem Pole Heritage centre which cost $5 each to get in. It wasn't really what I was expecting and wasn't very big at all, but Mike enjoyed it and it didn't exactly break the bank.

Walked back down going through Creek Street again and popping in some shops but everything was very expensive then back through downtown where I got a couple of souviners then back to the ship.

Dropped the stuff in the room and continued my quest to get another cruise booked but DH was not playing ball. Went to the Dreams show in the theatre then got some photos taken in the lobby before hitting Wavebands for the variety act which was a juggler, he was ok but was upstaged by the kids in the audience and of course a citron martini helped make it even better.

Dinner tonight was semi formal night in Tritons. I had the tuxedo cocktail, shrimps to start, followed by chicken pasta with lava cake to end, I never actually ordered that I think Anthony just sensed I wanted it. DH had prosciutto, lobster and apple pie. Yep we both got the same desserts as at lunchtime although slightly different, I much preferred this pudding to lunchtime. Just after Anthony came out with the mains he appeared with a second lobster, just in case I wanted to try it, but I didn't get a look in Mike ate both quick smart saying to me when will I get two lobster tails again! After Anthony put it down I said any venison back there so of course he went and got me some.

We nipped back to the room and I wrote up yesterday and todays notes then we hit Wavebands for tonights act, the place was packed, I still had some cocktail left from dinner so was carrying that, and as I walked through a waiter backed into me and the drink went all over me so Mike and I each got a free drink. I asked for a pomo cosmo and although it looked like one it reeked of tequila. The act tonight was a mind reader and I almost got picked to take part. After the show it was 70's hits and then bed.

I think Graham would love the Totem Heritage Centre. Would you recommend this?

Anthony seems to have a thing about the Lava Cake. He insisted that I try it. Unfortunately I did not like it at all. It was way too sweet for me. It was great to see his smiley face again.

The Totem place is only 3 rooms so it won't take a lot of time out of your day, we were probably only there for no more than 30 mins.

I liked the cake.
