That's how much a large plain pizza, a med. pizza with 4 toppings, and orders of breadsticks and cinnasticks came to at Dominos!!

I took DS out to sell Boy Scout popcorn and instructed my DH to call and order pizza and we would stop and pick it up.

I almost :faint: when the guy rang the order up! Thank heavens I had enough cash to cover the bill.

Jiminy crickets - we could have had a nice sit down dinner for that price!:o And DH ordered way too much pizza for 3 people.

To add insult to injury..... I ate only 1 slice and got a dose of heartburn.

Yikes. Our local places charges an even $10 for a large extra cheese. We wouldn't even think of going anywhere else.

Oh no... I really want pizza now.

YIKES! I haven't ordered pizza in over a year but surely prices can't have gone up that much??? That seems very expensive to me.

Why is it that DH's never look for the deals? and never use coupons???

your not telling that 10 dollars of that is the tip you gave the sexy pizza guy

Highway robbery. I sure hope everyone else liked it, and take some Pepcid for that heartburn.:D

if you use a coupon, people might think your gay

I alway's use a coupon when we have to order from Domino's. Ask for the Special or Two for Tuesday's. Around here NY you can always get a large pie for under $ 10.00

Pop Daddy - I picked up the pizza - and believe me - there was no $$$ left to tip myself!!

We usually don't go to Domino's and a large cheese pizza and an order of breadsticks at the other place costs around $15.00 tops.

Esmeralda - come on down - we have lots left over.

Not so. Only if you're a guy using a coupon for bubble bath. Then you might raise a few eyebrows.;)

It just adds up fast. If you think of the plain large costing $10 and the medium with 4 toppings costing $10, and the cheese sticks had to be at least $4-5 and so did the cinnamon sticks, there's $28-30! (and I presume sales tax was included in your total). So basically you were right about your DH ordering too much food! I would think one pizza and one order of cheese or cinnamon sticks (not both) would have been plenty!

Laurie :)

We normally don't go to Domino's, hence no coupons. Although - whenever I order, I always ask what if any specials are going on.

Wow!!! I didn't realize Dominos was that expensive!! We usually go to two other places before we'd think of going there (they aren't close and we prefer to pick up instead of having delivered). Sorry that you paid that much AND hardly got anything to eat... not to mention suffered after :(

Elaine,
Trust me - next time I'm sticking with our usual pizza place.:(

We have an entire large pizza in the refrigerator.....

Pizza is always expensive, unless you do buffet at Pizza Hut or something. We orderded a Large Peperoni w/coupon and it came to $14 I believe. :earseek:

There is another pizza place here that does wacky wednesday's and you can get a large peperroni for 4.99. It used to be 3.99!!

I had the pizza shock when I was at my parents a couple of weeks ago (they live on Long Island). I ordered from the local Mom and Pop place. 2 one topping pizzas cost $26!!!! I nearly died! Granted, the pizza from Dominos, Pizza Hut and the like is the equivalent of cardboard, but at least you're not paying through the nose for it!

Erin :D

A little off topic, but related to the original message, I have to brag on DS. He's nine and he sold $1800 dollars worth of popcorn this year--his pack's number one seller. His goal was $2,000, but it was more my fault that he didn't meet that (I drive him around). He loves going door-to-door.

If anyone gets a visit from a boyscout, please be nice to them. He had several people who are very rude to him. I was so proud that he was just able to brush that off and keep going. I would have been crushed. Funny how your kids suprise you with their particular talents.
