....

Depending on where you work....could you call your supervisor and explain the situation? Hopefully they will shut down where you work, but if that's not the case maybe people that live very close to the workplace will be the only ones required to be there?

I would think C.Ann if you call and say you cannot get out of the driveway that they would understand... I am pretty much sure of it. I know others who have not made it into work where I am because of where they live and snow and ice that hit. Especially with the travel advisories I wouldn't worry. If they have those, it would probably be expected that there will be some who are stranded. If the advisory is still out tonight I wouldn't let your SIL plow it either. Try not to worry... it will all work out :)

C.Ann, your life is worth a lot more than whatever pay you make. If something happens to you or you get into an accident, they won't pay for anything, will they? safety first!
We are just getting the tail end of it right now and we are close to 20" now...they said it's not supposed to stop until 1-2 am and I live in the Poconos.

BTW I forgot to mention that ALL IN STATE HIGHWAYS are CLOSED, due to the snow and whoever is travelling on them now are making them get off them and find shelter.
