30 minute wait for POTC!

Hey guys.

We just got back from WDW this weekend. We've been several times, including spring break last year. We have always ALWAYS walked right onto POTC. Growing up near DL, POTC was a must do every visit, where there was always a wait. BUt never at WDW. Cursed be the devil that made 'at bloomin' good movie!

It makes me smile when POTC has ONLY a 30 minute wait!

That & The Mansion - last trip there, the wait for both was the longest I'd ever seen!!!

There have been a few times that I have waited for at least 30 minutes to go on POTC. The good thing is that you're inside, out of the sun, so the wait doesn't seem as bad.

We were departing Feb 14 and hoping to get a last ride of POTC in before we left. 2 times earlier in the week we waited less than 15 min.

Feb 14, Sat before Pres Day, raining cats and dogs, wait for POTC was 90 minutes. Everyong wanted into those caves to get dry for a little while.

One of the most recent things causing a back up at POTC ride is that this side of the park does not open with the rest of the park anymore. During the slower times (Disney's definition--not ours) adventure land opens at 10:00 while the rest of the park opens at 9:00. We found while we were there at the beginning of Feb, that it caused bigger than usual backups in POTC & jungle cruise. Once folks get down at splash and BTMR, they usually head to those rides, so a crowd grows. Hopefully as the crowds get larger and we get more into a busier time, adventureland will open at 9:00 with the rest of the park. did I confuse anyone??

We thought the line was long back in December and attributed it to the popularity of the movie.
