We are excited about our first trip to Hawaii and Aulani. We will be there from May 22nd-31st. We are splitting our stay with first 3 nights near waikikki and last 6 at aulani. We plan to do most of our site seeing during the first 3 days. We will have car for our entire stay. This forum and its members have been very helpful to us during our planning. Here are my plans so far:
day 1 - We arrive at 12:45 PM. Checkin to our hotel at waikikki. Plan to have early dinner and rest.
day 2 - We should be up early as we are in CST, so we plan to use the time in the morning to get to Makapuu Lighthouse before sunrise and do the trek. Have brunch at Cinnamon Restaurant followed by Kailua beach. Head back to Waikikki around late afternoon as we have dinner reservations Tommy Bahama Cafe.
day 3 - Get some Malasadas from Leonard's Bakery before heading over to Hanauma Bay for snorkeling. Have lunch at Kona Brewing Company and head back to Waikikki. Walk around the shops near waikikki and find a good place for Dinner.
day 4 - Day to checkout. We have Pearl harbor reservations at 9 AM. We plan to leave our bags with the hotel and get them after we come back from Pearl harbor. Head to Aulani early afternoon. Check-in at Aulani and explore the resort while waiting for room. Have dinner reservations at Monkey Pod for 5:15. Fit in a drink or two during happy hour :)
day 5 - breakfast reservations at Makahiki. Plan to spend all day at the resort. Have luau reservations at Aulani as well as Paradise Cove. We will cancel one a few days before the event.
day 6 - resort day in the morning. We have a free activity for the kids from 12:30, so we know we will have a guaranteed spot at Aunty's beachhouse starting at noon. I booked a couples spa at Laniwai for 1 PM. Dinner reservations at Roy's at 5:45
day 7 - Kids have a free activity at Aunty's at 10 AM, so we may do the tablet thing prior to that if we have time. Spend time at the resort rest of the day. Booked kids to a premium activity Surf with Chip and Dale at 5:30. While the kids are there, we will have a date night at Ama Ama :)
day 8 - reservations for breakfast at Ama Ama. Plan to spend the day at North Shore and Dole plantation. plan to have pizza in room for dinner.
day 9 - plan to spend the day at the resort. Dinner reservations for Meneheune Mischief buffet at 5 PM.
day 10 - Day to check-out :( Our flight is not until 9:30 PM, plan to pay for late check-out if that is an option. As an alternative, I have booked a casabella at the lower veranda section of Ama Ama to have some place for afternoon should we need to relax.
day 11 and beyond - back to reality :(

Man, you get an A+ for planning! You have definitely done your homework and the plans all look great, well balanced and totally fun. One thing I might mention is I think you have Hanauma Bay scheduled for a wednesday but because it is closed on Tuesdays Wednesday tend to be a little busier. I would go very, very early just to be on the safe side.

Thanks alohamom!

Our plan is to get to Hanauma Bay around 8:15ish; I have heard about the parking issues there and want to get there early to get a spot as well as hopefully better snorkeling experience with less crowds early in the morning.
