Hi there,

We'll be there the same time as well. The anniversary cake sounds fun - I was thinking about getting one too!

serendipity - welcome to my PTR! From your sig it looks like you're way more experienced that I at all things Disney!

Have you ever done a cake before?

Hi Mixie - no cakes before, which is why I'm so interested in getting one. Too bad my DH isn't a DISer, or I could push him in the direction of getting one for my birthday. If I hinted to it now he'd be clueless! :lmao:

Mine would come up with something - just the wrong thing!

Sent him to the store the other night for a few supplies. Came home with lactose free milk.

Lactose free milk - it's that just white colored water?

What was he thinking!?

Morning Mixie! I am loving those temps for April!!!!!

I was ROTFL about DH and the milk....men....their brains just dont work like ours do!!!

I have always wanted to have a reason to order a cake!!! Maybe on one of our future trips we can plan it around a special occasion!!!

The cake thing is new to me - looking thru the cake thread is just fun!

I am doing the cake for sure. I'm planning on picking it up that first night when we'll be at Epcot.

Trying to decide just how much cake to get - we'll be there 5 nights but I figure it'll be stale by then and we may just be tired of cake, cake, cake. With 3 of us each having a piece, a 10" round cake will probably be quite enough.

Then I'll have to decide a theme. Tho this is our anniversary cake, I don't think I want a wedding type cake. DD is big into Stitch, so I may do it in that theme so she gets a surprise, too.

I think a Stitch cake would be cute!!!!

I am also trying to decide on Photopass. We didnt pre order our first year but also didnt use photopass much while we were and my photos came out just as good as the ones we did get photopass...so I am still undecided...

They'll give you your money back if you choose not to order anything - I'm thinking I have nothing to lose. If we don't end up using PP very much, I can always cancel.

Re: Fantasmic dining package.

Online reservation says none available. Hmmm

Honestly, I was looking at the menus of the 3 restaurants that offered it and I wasn't that thrilled. Funny, pre DD I remember the food at HS (called MGM then!) wasn't all that great at the time.

Well, I guess we'll decide if we want to stand in line for Fantasmic when we get there.

Time for a short pause.

Let's backtrack a bit and go over a few things.

First, here is DD:

I just love her 'I'm-nervous-but-sorta-ok-with-this' stance.
She didn't remember who tweedle dee and tweedle dum were,
but I made her have her pic taken with them anyway. This was
her 5th birthday trip, where we only went to the MK.

Now we'll add me:

That was at the start of the day. I was looking much more worn out later on.

Then we'll add hubby:

Oh, wait - he was taking the photos that day. I've no decent pic
of him to share. Very typical of our vacations - hence why I'm
thinking of doing Photopass this year.

So, just one more pic. This is DD and I on her 9th birthday trip.
DH didn't get to go on this one at all.

I wanted her to do the 'driving' here. I ended up having to work
the pedals for her - she barely had the reach and didn't really
have the leg strength. But this time coming, she'll do better.

Purchased photopass this morning.

Still need to decide on a cake design, flavor, filling, etc.

Phone number for ordering a cake is: (407) 827-2253
