Ok so we keep hearing that these storms are dropping tons of rain. We look on the forecast and see 30% scattered 70% isolated? What does this mean?

Heres is my question. What is the real time as far as the weather. Is it raining all day or is it just the afternoons? Is it hard rain or just an annoying drizzle. Can somebody give me an on average day (Something like it usually starts raining around noon but rarely rains after 7 or something like that!!)

Ok can someone tell me what the weather is today? Is there rain and how long is it lasting?

Imo just a short sprinkel now and then but nothing to worry about its only 30% thats less thin halve.

For many, a 30% chance of showers would mean that an entire area has a 30% chance of experiencing showers but when I watch the local (Orlando) forecast, they constantly mention that the 30% refers to the population, not the showers. So, a 30% chance of showers means that 30% of the population stands a chance to see a shower.

Keep in mind that showers (as well as storms) in Florida are very localized. I've seen times that it rained in the front of the house and not the back of the house (really!!).

30% Means that the area ( most wx teams use The DMA) could have rain.
DMA is the area covered bu a TV station.
