I have an 8 year old and a 3 year old and we're planning on doing the dolphin swim at DC with the 8 year old. Will the 3 year old be allowed in the water at least for a few minutes for a picture and to touch the dolphin at least once or twice?
Thanks!
Marie

i honestly don't think this will be allowed.it is very well run & if every family wanted to do this, with their young ones, the schedule would break down pretty quickly.only the people booked in,for the swim, are allowed into the water, where the dolphins are.

Thanks Tracy, that makes sense. I'm sure my 3 year old will have fun doing other things. Thanks for the quick answer!

Children must be at least 6 to participate with the dolphins, but I am sure he/she will find the aviary fascinating unless of course he/she is afraid of birds.

My friend has a photo with her 3 & 5 year old in at DC with the Dolphin so they do do it. She did the swim on her own and her husband and daughters joined her for the photo. Not sure if it was before or after the swim but I guess if you pay to buy the photo they don't mind!!

When we were there they were allowing the young children to join up with the parents for a picture after the dolphin swims. That way they are able to sell more pictures!
