My family will be taking our first trip to US/IOA next month and we have a 3 year old that will be going with us. :woohoo: I was wondering if there are any rides that will allow my 3 year old, my husband and myself in one row/seat together or are they all just two to a seat? If so, could anyone tell me which rides they are?

Most of the attractions sit two across but Cat in the Hat does offer three seating...with the children in the middle. You might be OK on One Fish, Two Fish but I can't remember how much room you have. I think that's about it though.

Yeah, don't quote me on all of this because I don't have a 3 year old, so I"m only about 95% sure on all this. BUt I think Suess Landing's rides (I think most if not all) are all designed for small kids.

There is a coaster in the Lost Continent called the Flying Unicorn that I think is designed for small kids, that is real tame and cool. Also a very very cool ride in Jurassic Park called the Pteredon Flyers (sp?) that allows kids on it, now not sure about a 3 year old on this one.

There is also a play area in JP, that is very cool for kids. There are play areas in the main Universal park, and many shows, Shrek, Terminator, all of which I think a 3 year old can attend. There are several other things as well, I know I'm missing a few other things including some more shows. There is a Jimmy Neutron thing, that I have never done and am the least bit familiar with but I'm pretty sure is for young kids.

There is also a great ET ride that is for kids, but I'm not sure what the age limit is on that one, I"m not sure if it can go as low as 3? :confused3 Sorry couldn't be more helpful.

I think two average size adults and a 3 year old will fit on any of the Suess Landing rides, except the carousel, of course. You can sit side-by-side on Jurassic Park and Jaws, but those might be too scary. They didn't scare my son when he was 4, but they did at 5. Go figure. I think there are 4 in the row on Spiderman, but that might be a bit scary too. Jimmy Neutron is several seats in a row and it's good for a little kid. Men in Black and ET are both 3 seats in a row. You can also ride together on the Popeye ride and you can put your little one in front of you on Ripsaw Falls. My kid loves the Jurassic Park playground. Fievel's Playground at US is also a lot of fun. It has a water slide that you ride down on a raft. Flying Unicorn at IOA and Woody Woopecker's coaster at US are smaller roller coasters for kids (like Goofy's Barnstormer if you're familiar with WDW). I'm not sure that you can fit three in a seat on those two rides, though.

One Fish Two Fish has 9 fish that hold 2 people (one fish, red fish & blue fish) and 3 fish that hold 3 (two fish). The two fish looks like this:
