Possibly a Wayne question:rotfl2:

When would you book?
How much would you expect to pay?

Want 7 seater dodge caravan or similar with Alamo-
4/8-25/8/14.

I was about to ask the same type of question was just about to book and thought I better see if anyone had seen any better prices.

Ford Escape Miami airport 18 May to 2nd June

Have checked usrentacar and holiday autos. What other ones should I be checking. Ones that include every insurance we need so they don't try to sell me stuff I don't need.

I've been checking Travel Supermarket for our trip next Aug. We too are looking at a Ford Escape and have found one for under £500 for 22 days :thumbsup2

The price hasn't changed in the last month, so unless there are any deals I think the price may change, but please if anyone can tell me any different please do :)

Just now you probbly won't do much better than the Alamo Brit deal @ £442 inc free additional drivers.
but its very early to be booking a year out, always chance of sales/offers or price errors.

Ive paided £580 for 7 seater dodge caravan for 19 days for July.
Is that with gold/platinum cover?
Alamo Brit are showing £485

Also possible 6.5% Quidco but mixed reviews on them paying out on Brit deal.

Personally I only book so far in advance if there is no fee to cancel, lots of time for a better deal to come up.

Wayneg it was booked through BA as part of our deal. Paid £3400 for 4 Adults and 1 child with 7 seater dodge caravan.

Last year I paid £400 for 16days.

£580 seems very expensive for BA as part of a Fly drive deal, other people have been posting how cheap they have been recently to add a car.:confused3

Last July we paid £515 (after cashback which has paid out) for 16 days for a 7 seater mini van. This was gold cover as we need an extra driver and it was cheaper than paying Alamo locally.

Next July as part of our BA fly-drive we are paying £398 for 17 days :thumbsup2 This includes the extra driver but excludes fuel. But when searching at the weekend it came up considerably cheaper than the likes of USRentacar, Holiday Autos & Car Hire 3000 - comparing to silver (which isn't quite the same but is lower cover)

wayneg if I booked the flights separately it was costing £3180 but they said if I took the car with them flight was £2820 so it worked out at £580 or if you look at it if I booked flights at original price then car cost £260 if Ive got my sums correct.
