3 sisters + 2 worlds=5 days of Orlando fun! An Aug. '10 TR...final thoughts p. 45

:yay: for arriving! We stayed at SSR last year and never really did figure out how to get around (we were only there 1 night.) It's a lovely resort though. I'm sorry about your poor map.

:scared1: I'm so behind!!!!!

Congrats on the new job!!!! I hope it's everything you were looking for :thumbsup2 I'm glad to hear SW is an entertaining airline. I'm flying with them to Baltimore this weekend AND in October. Maybe I'll get the same treatment :rotfl:

Now to read your most recent update.....

ETA: What a wet way to start. At least you found your room within reasonable time

Sarah didn't mention that, in April of 2007, her Mom, Emma, and I stayed in a room in the Paddock very close to the one she got this time. Even though we always ask for Congress Park because we like being close to Downtown Disney, the rooms at the extreme end of the Paddock are almost better because they are very close to the Congress Park bus stop and not far from the Congress Park pool. Apparently the folks at the resort realize that, because that is twice in our last 3 visits to SSR that we have gotten rooms in that location.

I love Disney rain :rotfl: I swear it's the only place in the World that I can go, yup, it's raining, "let's go!"

That is a very good picture of the SSR sign!

I won't be in MPS, it'll actually be in the district I subbed for last year...it's a great district that's pretty close to home so I'm glad I can get my foot in the door there. :thumbsup2

I can confirm that it's a great district. It's the one that I attended from kindergarten through high school.

Congrats on the job. I am starting to be a sub this week since I graduated in May and I wasn't able to find a job. Any advice for a sub just starting out?
I love the ME bus ride too. Listening to all of the excited people and getting your first taste of disney music. It's great! Saratoga Springs looks like a really pretty resort. I look forward to hearing more about your trip.

Glad you made it to Disney, and I love that you got the WDW sign from three different perspectives :thumbsup2

I think the cartoon after the welcome video must be new. We've never seen that before either.

Great pictures of the signs! Once you see those it's like you're REALLY THERE! :cool1:

Aw........OKW. :guilty: I miss it! Thanks for thinking of me. :)

Ugh, darn rain! Couldn't it have waited until AFTER you found your room?!

I'm hoping that we get a real ME bus too! Do they not play the video on the cruise buses? What's the big difference between them? I know I used to read about it a lot on TRs, but I guess I never really paid that much attention to it because it never applied to me. Now I'm curious to know! How long is the ride? Oh, and is the bus driver tipped?

Hehe, any chance the people behind you were just playing around? When I'm on the ferry going to Manhattan, I like saying to anyone I'm with, "Look over there, it's the Statue of Liberty!" with a British accent :D

I really like your pic of the sign. Since the focus isn't on the sign like other pics, it looks like you were purposely going for the "we're-on-the-bus-going-to-WDW" feel. Haha, like you purposely wanted to capture the moment of being on the ME bus!

Haha, how cute are you putting those "courtesy of" notations!

WOW! Look at that rain! I love when people take pics of the rain instead of just mentioning that it rained. Really adds something extra!

Woo-hoo! You've made it, Florida rain wet and all! ;) Your pictures on the ME drive are great, especially the three pics of the WDW sign. Oh and I love those outdoor light fixtures at OKW!!

hmmmm sister trips = rain :sad2: Hope the rest of your trip wasn't as wet as ours.

I got goosebumps seeing "your" (okay, your sisters ) pictures of OKW - 10 day! Yeee!

Great update! I'm glad you got a room near where you wanted to be; will we get to see more room pics?

congratulations on your new job, I hope you enjoy your last few days of vacation.

You sure look like you got pretty wet on your walk to your room. I'm sure it will be a fun memory for the three of you.

Great pictures of all the welcome signs! :cool1:

It's so fun overhearing people's conversations There are some I wish I could have heard more of because they were so good!

SS looks so pretty despite all the rain.

I LOVE all the different pictures of the sign. It'll be fun to see the trip from 3 different perspectives.

I'm sorry about all the rain. Of course, it just couldn't wait until you found your room. Blah.

I hope the rain doesn't last too long! I love how you were all troopers though and just ran for the room and then adventured out to DTD! :thumbsup2 Rain or no rain, you were in Disney!

Ahhhh...SSR....we stayed there last summer and I loved it....we were in the Grandstand Section....

Can't wait to hear about your night at DTD...that's what we do on arrival day too!!!

Did you end up getting a real ME bus?

That is funny about the two people trying to figure out how many states the US has  I never think about how people from other countries don't know that much about us I assume everyone knows there are 50 states

Yay for the welcome sign!!!

Ugh about the rain! I am glad you were able to get to your room though and that it was ready!

Can't wait to hear about your evening at DTD!

Yes, we did get a real ME bus. I had to go back and add that after I saw your comment!

You have to give them credit for knowing there are 50, sadly I bet there are some people here who don't know that.

I would've been pretty mad if our room wasn't ready when we got there! It was after 4:00.

:yay: for arriving! We stayed at SSR last year and never really did figure out how to get around (we were only there 1 night.) It's a lovely resort though. I'm sorry about your poor map.

Yeah, if you were only there a night it would be sort of hard to find your way around and all. It is such a big resort.

Thanks Jen!

I am still hoping to land a full-time classroom teacher job but atleast it's a start and will keep me occupied this school year. :thumbsup2

It was definitely wet but what can ya do?! Like I said, typical Florida summer weather.

I would agree that that building was almost better than Congress Park. When we checked in I did remember that you were there that one spring break.

I love Disney rain :rotfl: I swear it's the only place in the World that I can go, yup, it's raining, "let's go!"

That is a very good picture of the SSR sign!

haha!

I don't know how she got that to turn out so well!

I can confirm that it's a great district. It's the one that I attended from kindergarten through high school.

haha, yup!
