So it seems our December trip every year ends up being a split Stay. I always book SSR or OKW at 11 months then try move at 7. If we get "stuck" we don't mind as we enjoy those resorts. Last year we started our first night at AK. Then onto Bay Lake for the night of MVMCP. Then the last two at SSR to wind down. It was a Fantastic trip, I had waitlisted Poly but never got in.
This year I had 4 days booked at SSR at 11 months. At 7 months I check and our last night is Available at the Poly Lake View, So I grab it. Then I find the first 3 nights available at BLT Lake View, so I grab them. Looking yesterday I find a Standard view studio for Grand Floridian for our First night. We've always wanted to try there and never could get in. We are going Dec 14-18 and are now staying at All three Monorail Resorts in 4 days. I canceled my Rental car as we can take the Monorail to move from resort to resort!
I Know everyone says to buy where you want to stay. We own OKW and SSR and have been lucky to have some Fantastic Split stay trips, and after this trip we will have stayed at every DVC Resort at Disney World.
