3 resorts in 4 days-is this crazy?

First, this is a solo trip. I'm just going to relax for a few days in November and to hopefully see the Osborne Lights. Right now, I'm booked for 3 different resorts in 4 days: ASMovies Friday, 11/22 because I'm getting there late, getting to MCO after midnite. Saturday, 11/23, I'm at BCV. Sunday and Monday I'm at POR, because I couldn't get BCV (but I'm on the waiting list, over a month now). Is this crazy? If the waiting list doesn't come through, should I leave it like this, or what should I do?

Can you get BCV for the Friday night?

It would be a lot of hopping around and may be a little hard to truly relax since every morning your packing up and checking out, but since you're going alone it's certainly doable without too much frustration.

I think it would be more trouble then it's worth. Maybe narrow it down to 2 resorts for 2 days each, if you don't want to stay at just 1.

Even though you are on the waitlist, you should consider calling sort of frequently to check availability anyways. We were on the waitlist for one night & when I called yesterday to just "check" availability for the night we were already waitlisted for, it WAS available...

It seems sometimes the waitlist doesn't get invoked when it should...

That's what I'd do anyways, call frequently, it's a free call!!! Otherwise, I'd say narrow this trip down, there's no way you will relax at 3 resorts in 4 days!! But, I think you may get lucky too, have you checked availability for the 4 nights (or 3) at OKW, WLV's or BWV's? I'll say it again, call frequently!!

Guess I'm in the minority on this post. It all depends on how you travel. Since I travel out of my suitcase when I go, it wouldn't be a problem for me, especially a solo trip. No matter what though, I would definately keep the All Star for that Friday night (unless I get there early enough to enjoy a park, or even enough time to enjoy the ambiance of a resort, I will always go with All Stars).

I see you want to see the Osbourne lights - will they be on then? I thought they didn't come on until after Thanksgiving. You might want to check the DisneyWorld site to make sure.

Last month I did 3 hotels in 5 days, the first night AK, 2nd night Poly, the 3rd and 4th nghts the BWI. I tavel light, just take enought to wear those days and a small suitcase that I put under the seat on the plane. I don't take makeup, jewelry (just what i get on the plain with). I take atravel bag with the shapoo, hairdryer and things like that and I am off. I live out of the suitcase, do not worry about any wrinkles, heck I am on vacation so I am the minority that sez go for it, it isnt that bad at all.

We did this once, in our case it was three resorts in five days, and it was nuts. We spent a lot of time packing and unpacking. I would not want to ever do it again.

I would also narrow it down to two resorts. You'd spend way too much time checking in and out. I'd reserve the 3 nights at POR and keep calling to get switched to BCV.

We just returned from a 10 day trip and we switched hotels twice. It was alright, but we wouldn't do it again. Too much confusion, packing and unpacking!!! We plan on taking 10 day vacations in the future, but would only switch once. I'd definately recommend trying to find one place the entire time you're there, or switching once. Just remember, you could be without a room from 11 - 3 all the days you switch.

Our split stay was 2 nights at AKL, then 4 nights at the Poly. We loved each resort, but felt that 2 nights was too short of a time to spend at a resort before having to move. Disney made the transfer very easy, but I'm not sure I would do it again.

It's mostly just my personality...I would have enjoyed our stay at AKL even more if I hadn't been wondering what it would be like when we moved to the next resort .

Give the wait list time - if you haven't heard from them by the end of October - then worry - some members don't cancel until the 30 days period where there points will go into holding if they don't. and also kept in time that with each new sale of BCV your name on the wait list probably moves up - so I really believe you have got a good chance.
