3 Questions about Fireworks Cruises...

While planning our vacation, we ran across the fireworks cruises... and we want to book one as a suprise for our parents.

Unfortunately, however, my mother tends to get seasick if she is out on a boat too long. Not to mention, we have a 5 year old (will be 6 when we go) who has a 6 year old's bladder.

So the questions are thus, for the Illumination Fireworks Cruise:

1 - How "choppy" is the boat ride? (constant rocking, or just sitting there calmly?)

2 - Is there a potty on the boats? (I am pretty sure this is a "no" but it never hurts to ask)

3 - About how long is the cruise?

1- Most are on PONTOON boats (unless you can book the "Breathless") so the ride is about as smooth as a smaller craft can be.

2- You're right, NO.

3- THe cruise (including the SHOW) is one hour.

You can always talk to your captain and explain any "special needs". While I'm sure this isn't entirely correct, you can think of it as renting a boat and a captain for an hour. If he/she goes above and beyond for you, of course an extra tip would be in order. Now obviously, once in position for the show, there's only so much the captain can do for potty emergencies, etc.

We visited the marina late afternoon and found our captain preparing our "birthday" pontoon. He was quite friendly and answered all of our questions. It was a lot of fun.

I'm pretty sure that an hour would be fine. For some odd reason I had a picture of being out on the boat 2-3 hours

I think we are going to go ahead with it... It sounds like a great experience. Thanks!
