We finally manage to wake up at a reasonable hour - 7am :woohoo:

it was immediatly obvious that camerons eye was really sore and he was in a lot of pain only thing was we didnt really know where to take him or even if they would understand his medical history or the operation he was waiting to have. I was having kittens and was kicking myself for not researching where I should take him if something went wrong :headache:
In the end I phoned Give kids the world the village for children with life threatning illnesses which we had stayed at 4 yrs ago. They were fab and promised to get bk to me asap. In the meantime we decided to abandon our plans to go to clearwater today and have a much needed rest.
GKTW arranged for a dr to phone us and he advised us to keep up with the staeriod drops we already had with and confirmed that a trip to a hospital would be pointless as we already knew why he was like this and there was little they cud do. :sad2:

We cleaned his eye up gave it a bath with steriods and the crossed our fingers and hoped for the best !!
We had a fab day round the pool and the games room and had the most gorgeous bbq ever!!
Tomorrow is Camerons birthday and we were all hoping for a miracle but i knew we cud get a smile on his face with our little surprise . ..

day 8 here

I hope Camerons eye gets better soon, it must have been very upsetting for you all

So glad you had the GTKW as a resource. What a desperate feeling to have a medical emergency away from home. We once ended up in "Hopital-land" nine miles down the road from Disneyland (CA), an unexpected add-on tour. FYI for those who stay on property in FL--WDW hotels have a doctor on call as we found out a few years ago.

Hoping to hear that Cameron's birthday was a great success.

Hope Cameron's eye got better quickly and he had a wonderful birthday :wizard:

Poor Cameron, hope his eye stops hurting soon.

How upsetting, however I'm glad you seem to have made the best of a bad situation. Here's hoping for a good birthday tomorrow for Cameron!

I think you are coping along with Cameron brilliantly with the problems of his eye

What a shame, I hope Camerons eye is better for his birthday.

Very happy that you got a lie in at last :thumbsup2.
What a shame about Cameron,i really hope what you done worked for him.x.

:hug:What a stressful day. I'm glad you had a fun day at the villa and I hope Cameron's eye is better soon

so pleased that you all still managed to have a great BBQ when it must have been an extremely stressful day

Sounds like you made a good choice and had a good day at the villa.
When looking back at our holiday pics and vids we always see some of the biggest smiles on our kids faces when they are just playing in the pool. Oh the money we could have saved............

Right - onto Day 8
