Ok so long story short, my husband and I have a 2 person reservation for this coming wednesday at Chef Mickeys (01/19/11) at 10:30AM. My husband's sister is now, possibly, coming up from Miami for a few days, and even though I know I should have changed it a month ago when I knew this would be a possibility (and I have no idea why I didnt:rolleyes1), now I can't get any reservation for 3 except 0 WAY TO EARLY in the morning. (7AM).

So is there any chance that if we walk up with 2 they will seat 3? I have never tried to do this, I don't even know if its likely, somewhat likely or not a chance in you know where.

I have also checked Tusker House, because I had looked into that one too, but no availabiity there either.

Thanks a bunch!

Jennifer

You can try, but it is not very likely they would be able to seat your extra guest. Going from 2 to 3 people means you now need a larger table than the one they think you will need. Also, Chef Mickey's is usually fully booked, meaning there just won't be a larger table available to move you to.

Keep checking, as ADRs open up all the time. Otherwise you may have to decide if you want to have breakfast with your sister in law or if you want breakfast at Chef Mickey's.

It just depends on if they have the availability for a larger table. I would keep checking, something may open up. If not, it doesn't hurt to ask them when you check in, just keep your fingers crossed. :wizard:

well i would not just show up and try to change it there. i would keep checking online and/or call the dining line. also you may want to try to call chef mickeys the day before and see if they can do it there. they might say it is not a problem or at least tell you up front that it can not happen. if you show up there without them knowing you may not get in and also push someone else res. back as well.

I would call Chef Mickey's - when I took my son (just the 2 of us) we got a table that could sit 4

Well, unlike the others here, I bet it won't be a problem at all. I'd keep checking the online system but if you aren't able to update it I honestly wouldn't worry about it too much. yes, they're booked but there are always groups that don't show up. I'm sure that at least one group of 3 will turn into a group of two, etc.

On our trip, our group of 3 became a group of 5 last minute at Tusker House... place was packed. When we checked in I told the CM, he didn't even blink. I apologized and he said "no problem, happens all the time" and led us to the line to have our photo taken with Donald!!!

Chef Mickey's is a huge place. Worst case scenario you might have to wait a few extra mins to be seated. Have a great trip!
