3-Park 4-day promo ticket gate value

Hi everyone,

I booked a vacation package with Universal, choosing the least expensive available ticket with the package which was the 3-park 4-day base promo ticket. I did this as I have every intention of upgrading to an annual pass and know I wouldn’t want to pay more for the tickets than I would for annual passes as you aren’t assured a refund when upgrading.

Has anyone tried upgrading this promo ticket and if so, do you know what value you were given towards the upgraded ticket? I ask because the gate price on a normal 3-park 4-day ticket is about $340 before tax, however these are specifically billed as promo tickets which typically are 2+2 days, but there is no gate price for a 3-park 2 Day base ticket because those don’t exist. I know I will get at least what I paid for them, but I was curious if anyone has received full 4-day value on these. Thanks!

You will get credited for the amount that you pay and that will be applied to the price of the AP. That seems to be how they are working it for the promo tickets.

Bummer, I figured but was hoping for something more...oh well. If anyone has actually upgraded this ticket, please chime in.

There have been quite a few this past year

Like damo stated, when you upgrade your tickets, what you paid will be a credit towards the AP

Yes, I have read several threads and have heard people having success with using the 2+2 ticket in the parks, thus turning it into a 4-day ticket and getting the full 4-day value. That’s why I was asking. This also seems to be a bit of a different scenario as it’s not a 2+2 ticket but a specific promo ticket.

Those 2+2 tickets actually were a UT promo and said 4 day tickets on the ticket. Here's a link to someone who recently tried to upgrade the current 2+2 ticket.... https://www.disboards.com/threads/tickets-at-work-upgrade-to-ap-questions.3706889/
