3 pairs of Minnie ears and Stalking Thumper~My first TR 5/6-5/11 *UPDATE 6/13, pg 14*

Uggggghhhhh...so I've been trying for maybe an hour to do my next update, but photobucket is not cooperating with me! It's taking forever to load my pictures, and when it actually does, I can only see half of them, the other half have this little blue question mark where the picture should be! And when I try to use a picture I can see and put it into my post here, it just doesn't work...I get a little blue question mark! I don't get what the problem is, but I'm not happy about it! It was fine yesterday! I'm wondering if I'll have to delete all my Disneymoon pics and re-upload them onto photobucket! I guess I'll try that and if that doesn't work...I don't know what to do!

So hopefully I will have an update at some point tonight! :confused3

I think I have my picture situation figured out so I can continue! It's about time! Photobucket hates me today, so I signed up at snapfish which seems to work just as well, even though it's a little more confusing!

Anyway! Continuation of 5/6!

We just received our text that our room at BC is ready. Which is good, because by then, we were exhausted! My migraine was going pretty strong by then and poor Brandon was ready to fall over and pass out from lack of sleep! We were more than ready to get to our room...except...for the walk.

We had to walk all the way from Imagination to the Beach Club, which, really isn't that long of a walk, but feeling the way we did, it seemed like it was 10 miles. I mean, there was one point where I literally did not think I could walk anymore.

We finally make it up to the 5th floor, open our door, which was in a great location, right around the corner of the elevators and across from the lounge, and see our room:

Soooo pretty! More pictures!

232323232%7Ffp53834%3Enu%3D5595%3E9%3C7%3E255%3EWSNRCG%3D32%3C2375%3B9%3A346nu0mrj

Mickey lamp!!

Our room was perfect, but by then we didn't care about anything except taking a nap! So that's what we did for a little while...we had dinner reservations at Le Cellier so I made us get up and get ready after a couple of hours, and we were off to Epcot!

Our reservation wasn't until 7:55, so we had some time to kill. We decided to walk the long way around World Showcase. Along the way we saw more topiaries:

232323232%7Ffp537%3B7%3Enu%3D5595%3E9%3C7%3E255%3EWSNRCG%3D32%3C237%3C4%3B7346nu0mrj

I really wanted to get a slush in France, but I figured the alcohol would have made my migraine come back. I got it downgraded to just a normal headache by taking some Excedrin migraine and drinking tons of water at the Beach Club, so I wasn't taking any chances.

We stopped by Maelstrom, which is probably one of my favorite attractions in Disney! It actually had a line...every time I've gone on, it's been a walk on, and we waited maybe 15 minutes for it! It's so weird, you have to love it! And the backwards drop...come on, how can you not like that? :cool1:

We finally started to make our way over to Le Cellier, and we walked through Canada first:

232323232%7Ffp537%3C4%3Enu%3D5595%3E9%3C7%3E255%3EWSNRCG%3D32%3C237%3C4%3B8346nu0mrj

and then we finally got to

232323232%7Ffp53835%3Enu%3D5595%3E9%3C7%3E255%3EWSNRCG%3D32%3C23%3A8%3A%3C3346nu0mrj

Woo hoo!!! Ever since we went for lunch in November, we were really excited to go back for dinner! I know a lot of people like to bash Le Cellier lately, I've even seen it be compared to a local Outback :sad2: but we love it! I think Brandon likes it a little more than I do...but I do like it a lot!

We checked in and had to wait a little while before we were seated, so I took some pictures of the cute little Disney bunny that was just hanging out in Canada:

232323232%7Ffp537%3B6%3Enu%3D5595%3E9%3C7%3E255%3EWSNRCG%3D32%3C237%3C4%3B%3A346nu0mrj

and then we were called in! We were seated in the back corner right near the bathrooms and our waitress came right over and asked if we wanted drinks. Last year I got the Godiva chocolate martini...in fact, I think I had 2, and I would have loved to have gotten one, but that stupid headache was nagging me  so I got boring old iced tea. Brandon of course, got a glass of wine. We both got appetizers, I of course, got the fantastic cheddar cheese soup, which definitely DOES live up to the disboard hype :rotfl: and Brandon got mussels for some strange reason, even though he has never had them before. For our meal, he got the Kansas City coffee rubbed strip steak and I got the salt crusted prime rib. My prime rib was great, although huge, and after eating that soup, there was no way I was finishing it! Brandon liked his steak, I tried it and thought it was gross...too coffee-y for me.

As full as I was, there was no way I was passing up dessert. I had the chocolate moose last year, and I wanted it again this year! Brandon got some kind of s'mores, which he also had last year! They put our desserts on one plate with little Mickey shaped sprinkles all around it and said that was for our honeymoon, it was really cute!

232323232%7Ffp53842%3Enu%3D5595%3E9%3C7%3E255%3EWSNRCG%3D32%3C23%3B3%3B7%3A346nu0mrj

After stuffing ourselves with dessert, we left, and walked very slowly to our room, where I immediately crawled into bed and went to sleep! It was a loooong day, and after all, we had to be up early the next day...we had breakfast reservations at Crystal Palace! :cool1:

Next...pictures in front an empty castle, Crystal Palace, and fun at MK!

DAY 2!!!

Hello! Welcome back! Hope you're all still here! popcorn::

After basically passing out the night before at like, 10:30, I was up and ready to go pretty early the next morning! We had a 9:05 breakfast reservation at Crystal Palace, which I was SOOOO excited about! The year before we went to Chef Mickey's, which was really cute, but I read such great things about CP, I had to try it! And I love Winnie the Pooh!

We left BC at around 8:15 to get to the Magic Kingdom. One of the things I loved about staying at the Wilderness Lodge in November was not having to deal with the whole TTC area of MK. It's just such a hassle! :scared: After the whole parking/get on a tram/ride the monorail (ok, I love the monorail, that part isn't a hassle!) nonsense, we arrived at MK!

There were a decent amount of people inside the turnstiles waiting for rope drop! I wanted to wait soooo bad and see the little song and dance they do when they open the park, but Brandon saw the side entrance for dining reservations, so he was rushing me over! I asked the CM if there was any way I could watch the little ceremony, and he said not if I want to make it to CP by 9:05. :sad1: Of course I pouted a little as we walked into MK and onto Main Street, but I perked up immediately when I saw an empty MK! :rotfl:

Of course, being the absent minded picture taker I am, I forget to take pics of this lovely sight! We get halfway up Main Street before I think "oh yeah, pictures!" We ask a photopass photographer to take our picture, which came out pretty cute (considering I HATE being in pictures!):

IMG_0842.jpg

IMG_0844-1.jpg

We kept walking and got to the end of Main Street, about to turn left to go to CP, but I took a few pictures of the castle before MK was full of people:

IMG_0847.jpg

After I got my pictures that I was satisfied with, we headed over to Crystal Palace! We checked in, waited maybe 5 minutes, and were called in to our table! We were seated quickly and almost the second we sat down, Pooh came over! I got up and gave him a hug, and he shook Brandon's hand, and Brandon asked if he could take my picture with him, but I guess he was kind of in a hurry, because the CM said he'd be back.

We got our plates and got tons of food, and went to sit back down, and found this waiting on our table:

IMG_0921.jpg

:):):) (Yes I took the picture of that in our room a few days later...I have problems with taking pictures of important things, as you can see! But I get better as the trip goes on!)

That card right there totally made my CP experience! I didn't even care if any characters came over, I just loved that card! I think I'm probably going to frame it...I love the Pooh characters so much, they're so cute!!!! :woohoo:

Because we got up for seconds, I think we missed Tigger. Which was fine because I got a picture with him the year before, and then Piglet came over, and he was adorable!

IMG_0855.jpg

I'm not putting up my picture with Piglet, it's not so good...anyway, we were just about finished when Eeyore started coming around! He was taking a long time, and by then, we were ready to go. We waited a few minutes, but he spent so much time at each table, we would have waited for another 20 minutes for him to come over to us, so we left.

Highly recommend Crystal Palace breakfast! If anyone is thinking about going and you are on the fence, GO! The food is very good, the restaurant inside is beautiful, unlike Chef Mickey's which feels more like a school cafeteria with characters!

When we got out of CP, we headed right for Splash Mountain, where there was about a 5 minute wait. Then we went over to BTMRR, where there was a 20 minute wait. I didn't really want to wait, since I'm not really a big fan of BTMRR, but DH insisted, so I waited. We had to stand out in the sun for a little while and it was getting HOT. I had to make sure I drank a lot of water, I didn't want a repeat of last night's migraine.

Riding BTMRR just reminded me of why I don't really like it...I like roller coasters that go fast with big hills, this is more of a quick scenic drive through the mountains of the old west! I mean, it's cute, but it's not for me!

Up next...more MK and Epcot EMH!

Your room at the Beach Club is gorgeous. The beds look so comfortable! :cloud9:

I love your picture of the Chocolate Moose. I CANNOT wait to order one in July. Although I'll probably have a hard time eating it because it's just so darn cute!!

Your photopass pics turned out really nice. For whatever reason, all of the pics the photopass people take of my family turn out awful. We cannot take a group picture to save our lives.

And you don't like Big Thunder?!! It's my favorite ride in WDW. Although I can understand why you don't like it. It probably does seem really lame compared to the more intense roller coasters out there. I wouldn't know though, because I am terrified of most coasters.

Just came across your TR and I'm in :)

Congratulations on the wedding!

How awesome to get an upgrade at the Beach Club! What a way to start your honeymoon! :goodvibes

Great pics before opening at MK! I love going to early breakfast at CP. The food is good and walking down an almost empty Main Street feels magical :)

:welcome: Yeah it was pretty amazing to get upgraded! It actually took me a while to get used to taking things from the lounge...I felt a little like I was stealing...:rotfl:

I LOVED Crystal Palace! I'm going back in November and I made my ADR's the other day and I contemplated doing Crystal Palace again, but I'm not sure, I'm kind of interested in Akershus, even though I feel weird doing a princess breakfast with no kids! Characters that can't talk to you are one thing, but the princesses can talk to you and that's just weird to me! :lmao:

I guess I put it wrong...it's not that I don't like BTMRR, it's just not one of my favorites. Like I said, it's cute, but it's not exactly a big thrilling roller coaster!

If you're terrified of most roller coasters, does that mean you don't do the Rock n Roller Coaster? That's one of my favorites!

Day 2 Continued, more MK!

After we were finished with BTMRR, I wanted to go to Tom Sawyer's island. In the months planning this trip, I became obsessed with Tom Sawyer's Island...probably because I remember liking it a lot when I was a kid and because DH and I didn't bother with it our previous 2 trips. We take the raft over and arrive on the island...and didn't really know what to do! I wanted to find those caves that Samantha Brown went in on the Great Hotels episode with the Wilderness Lodge!

Anyone see that one? No? Just me? :rolleyes1

Anyway, we follow the signs to the caves and go through them, and I liked them, but I could tell DH thought they were stupid...I think he was expecting real caves, not Disney caves! He was quickly losing interest in TSI, so I knew I only had a certain amount of time before he started complaining about how lame this was! :sad2:

We made our way over to the fort area, which surprisingly had bathrooms

IMG_0862.jpg

(I think this picture of my DH is hysterical, but it's probably just me!)

and we basically just...stood around and looked at the fort for a few minutes. I wanted to go explore the island more but I felt bad making Brandon do something he obviously didn't want to do, and it was getting hotter and hotter by the minute, so I suggested we get off the island and go to POTC, since it's usually a short wait and air conditioned! :thumbsup2

Pirates was a very quick wait, maybe 5 minutes, and we were on our boat! I love POTC, it's one of my favorites! I think the whole thing is done so well! I always read about how the Disneyland one is better, but I just don't see how, I mean, how much better could it get?

After POTC, I was getting hungry, but not really for anything huge or time consuming...I wanted my Disney World popcorn.

*Just a little side note here-I am obsessed with Disney World popcorn. I don't know why, it just tastes so much better here than anywhere else in life. It's actually one of the things I look forward to when I go to WDW, that's how much I love it!*

I was craving DW popcorn the whole day before, and most of Day 2, so I thought, why not, now is as good a time as any to get popcorn...until I realized where we were about to walk by!

Aloha Isle, home of the Dole Whip! :dance3:

Forget popcorn, we were getting Dole Whips! I had my first pineapple dole whip last November, thanks to the dis boards! It was good, then a few days later I discovered the citrus swirl flavor and I was hooked! So I didn't know what kind to get! Luckily, because the line was pretty long, I had a few minutes to agonize over this very important decision I had to make! Should I try the pineapple dole whip float, which I've read great things about on here, or get the citrus swirl, since I knew I loved it? I stuck with the citrus swirl, and so did Brandon. He tried my pineapple one last year and didn't like it at all. :sad2:

Of course, I don't take picutres...I thought about it while we were eating them, but it was sooooo hot they were melting all over the place, I figured I should eat mine as quickly as possible! :rotfl2:

We were pretty hot and tired by then, and I was anxious to try out Stormalong Bay! So we went back to the Beach Club to go in the pool, rest, and get some dinner before heading back out to Epcot.

When we got back to our room, this cute little thing was waiting for us:

IMG_0873.jpg

:cool1:

The pool is as great as everyone says it is, I loved the sand bottom! We spent maybe an hour in there, then we went back up to the room and figured out where to eat. I didn't have any ADR's for the night so I thought maybe Beaches and Cream. I didn't know if the wait would be too long, since it was around 4 or so, so we went down to check. We got right in and sat at the counter.

Beaches and Cream is cute but small, and the service is not that great. It took forever for us to get our cheeseburgers and checks. While I'm glad we tried it, I don't really have any desire to go back...unless it's for ice cream. I got a chocolate ice cream soda, and the chocolate ice cream actually was the best chocolate ice cream ever. I don't know what made it so special, but it was sooooo good! :cheer2:

I'm going to finish up Day 2 in a little while, I just want to make sure I have all my pictures first! I know this update was a little picture-lite, but I will make up for it, I promise! Be back soon with the rest of Day 2! :yay:

Thanks for the report on TSI my DH and I have not been over since our honeymoon your report helped me remember why.

Thanks for the report on TSI my DH and I have not been over since our honeymoon your report helped me remember why.

Lol, it's cute, I liked it, but there is more to do at MK! I can see how it would be a nice break if there were a lot of people at MK that day!

Finally, the end of Day 2!!!

I don't know why, I feel like Day 2 is taking me forever to update, and I'm trying to keep my rambling at a minimum! :lmao:

When our dinner at Beaches and Cream was over, we went back to the room for a little while to rest and get ready for Epcot Extra magic hours. I took a short nap and let Brandon sleep a little longer.

I took some pictures of the view from our balcony:

IMG_0878.jpg

IMG_0879.jpg

I also took some pics of Brandon napping, but something tells me he wouldn't appreciate me putting them up here! :rotfl:

We get to Epcot around maybe 7 and of course, I go right to Soarin to see what the wait is, and just like the day before, it's looong! We decide to do the Seas with Nemo, because there is no wait. I LOVE those Seagulls outside of the attraction from the movie..."Mine, Mine, Mine"! :rotfl:

After Nemo, we just wandered around a little...in one of the little water areas by Nemo, we saw these adorable baby ducks, and of course, had to take pictures of them:

IMG_0883.jpg

IMG_0881.jpg

:lovestruc

Eventually we made our way over to World Showcase, because I wanted a drink for the first time on my vacation! We went to La Cava del Tequila in Mexico because we went there last year and the margaritas there were soooo good! We both got blood orange margaritas and we went over to Norway to drink them.

The walk to Norway from Mexico was PACKED...I mean, it was crazy! It's not even a 5 minute walk over there, they are right next to each other, and it was just a mob of people! People were trying to get good spots for Illuminations I guess, so it was getting a little insane! :scared1:

The plan was to drink our margaritas quickly and go on Maelstrom again, but that didn't happen, we found a nice curb and just sat for a while!

IMG_0889.jpg

IMG_0890.jpg

DH drinking his margarita, not happy with me shoving a camera in his face :rotfl::

IMG_0893.jpg

Finally Illuminations started, and we started walking towards Soarin...I was determined to get on Soarin tonight, no matter what! We stopped to watch some of Illuminations along the way:

IMG_0897.jpg

IMG_0901.jpg

We finally made it to Soarin, to find it was still a 40 minute wait! :sad2: I convinced Brandon, somehow, to wait, because I wanted to go on it so bad, so we got in line.

At least waiting in the line was entertaining, because of those games they have for the people waiting to play! Eventuallly, after what was exactly 40 minutes, we got to ride Soarin! Soarin is one of my favorites, I totally understand the hype over it!

I was so happy after going on Soarin, that I told Brandon we could leave if he wanted to, and he did. We were going to attempt Mission Space before we left, but we were both a little tired and nauseous feeling from doing so much and it being so hot that day, that we were ready for our bed at the Beach Club!

That concludes Day 2 of our Disneymoon! :dance3:

Day 3 next...which includes DHS, DTD, and dinner at Tony's Town Square at MK!!! :wizard:

I guess I put it wrong...it's not that I don't like BTMRR, it's just not one of my favorites. Like I said, it's cute, but it's not exactly a big thrilling roller coaster!

If you're terrified of most roller coasters, does that mean you don't do the Rock n Roller Coaster? That's one of my favorites!
Nope, I've never been on the Rock N Roller Coaster. Which sucks because I am kind of obsessed with Aerosmith. I'm going to try my hardest to get brave enough to go on it this summer, though. We'll see if I can muster up the guts! :rotfl:

And regarding your update...DUCKLINGS!! I have a ridiculous amount of love for ducklings. Probably because they are so darn adorable. :lovestruc

You HAVE to try Rock N Roller coaster at least once! Compared to big, fast roller coasters in other places, this one is pretty tame. The take off is the best part! I love the Aerosmith music they play in the waiting area and on the ride...now when I hear an Aerosmith song on the radio, it instantly reminds me of Disney! :)

And I LOVE ducklings too, I have tons of pictures of the ducklings actually...we spent a good amount of time staring at those Epcot ducklings. People would come over to see what we were looking at, take a few pictures, and walk away, but we just couldn't leave them! :lovestruc

Hello! Welcome to the beginning of Day 3, 5/8! We did a lot this day, it was a tiring day, but lots of fun as well!

We began our day having breakfast at the Beach Club Marketplace, which is a madhouse in the morning! We both got bacon, egg, and cheese croissants which I became obsessed with in November at the Wilderness Lodge. They're nothing special, but they are just soooo good, I don't know why! I think it's the cheese...I tried to recreate it once at home and it just wasn't the same! :rolleyes1 Anyway, I was in a hurry, because today was the first day we would be going to Hollywood Studios, and I wanted to get there quickly!

We arrived at DHS at around 10 I believe, and it was already packed! :scared1: I could not believe the amount of people there! I wanted to get a FP for Rock N Roller coaster because I knew it would be a long wait...it was, I think it was 40 minutes already, so we got our FP's and headed to Tower of Terror to pass the time before we could return!

In the last 2 trips we have taken to WDW, ToT has never been more than a 10 minute wait. Today it said 30. I didn't care, ToT is probably my favorite ride in all of Disney, and I told Brandon, who considers any wait more than 15 minutes unbearable, that it's too bad, we are waiting so we got in line.

IMG_0904.jpg

(I don't know why the date on my camera is a day behind sometimes, maybe it's in a different time zone than I am or something!)

The wait wasn't too bad, and actually waiting outside instead of running directly in like we would normally do let me stop and appreciate the detail of the waiting area

IMG_0906.jpg

When we got in I snapped this picture quickly because my camera was being slow and I was holding up the people behind me

IMG_0908.jpg

and we went into the library to watch the little intro to ToT!

I can't say it enough, I LOVE the Tower of Terror, every second of it! I'm a huge Twilight Zone fan, maybe that's why, and I love rides where you drop, I love that feeling you get when you are falling, and that combined with Disney magic makes this the perfect ride for me! Needless to say, I was a happy girl once it was over!

We went over to RnRC, since it was our FP return time...only to find out the FP line was still a 30 minute wait! Brandon said no way were we waiting, so I agreed since I made him wait for ToT, and we went off to do something else.

Along the way I noticed the large amount of Minnie ears they had for sale and I decided I wanted to get my niece a pair, who would be visiting Disney 2 weeks after I got home from my trip. I saw the princess Minnie ears a day earlier in MK, the ones with the white sequined ears and the pastel veils attached to it...but at DHS, I saw a pair I've never seen before...pink fuzzy Minnie ears with a princess hat! :cool2: Now I had a huge dilemma...which ones should I get my niece? This choice would be bothering me for the next few hours...

Eventually we got to the Animation area, where I decided I had to have my picture taken with Sorcerer Mickey

IMG_0912.jpg

and I warned Brandon that there might be a little line, but could we PLEASE wait, I LOOOOOVE Fantasia so much...(yeah, I was being whiney, but I had to get my point across!)! He agreed so we went in, and got in line for Sorcerer Mickey, which was only about a 15 minute wait!

I'm debating about putting this picture up...it's horrifying. I really wanted it to be good, since I love him so much, but it's bad.

Whatever, I'll put it up, but I'll make it small! :lmao:

IMG_0917.jpg

Ugh. I just hate it so much! I'm going to have to get another one when I go back in November!

Since the wait times were so long, and it was already the afternoon (after doing basically nothing all morning!), we decided to go to Downtown Disney, because Brandon decided he needed a new pair of shorts. :confused3 But first...I finally got my Disney popcorn! :cool1:

IMG_0920.jpg

As we were leaving, I wanted to go in one of the shops on the way out to get my niece her Minnie ears. I decided on the sequined princess ones, because the fuzzy pink ones were a little too babyish (she's 5) and they weren't as pretty. I also bought myself a pair of Mickey earrings which I wore for the rest of the trip! Of course, I don't have pictures of those. :sad2:

Going to take a break here, but I am going to continue Day 3 in a little while! Hope everyone is still following along! :wizard:

Up next...an uneventful trip to DTD, and MK again! :cool1:

I just found your TR, great job so far! Don't be so discouraged with the pictures, you are gorgeous!! :cutie:

Congratulations on your marriage! :bride: My DH and I just celebrated 8 years on May 10th and we usually go to Disney for our anniversary, but last May we came home preggers with DD#2 (our souvenir) so we are going back in December when she is a little bigger! It's been hard seeing DIS friends traveling to WDW this month and pics of the Flower & Garden Festival knowing we should be there right now, but we'll be there soon enough and I can't wait to see all of the Christmas decorations!

How awesome that you were upgraded at the BC! We were upgraded to CL at the Poly last year and that was amazing. The BC is our favorite resort, we are staying there again next October!

Anyway, the TR is great, keep it up, I can't wait to read more!

Nice update! Your ToT pics are great! I love the pic of you and your DH with Mickey. You guys look so cute :goodvibes

So weird question...how was the DHS popcorn? I had some in March and I swear it didn't seem as fresh as the popcorn at MK. I'm trying to figure out if it's my imagination or not

Your pictures of the Tower of Terror are great. There is nothing like Disney Popcorn, I wish I had some now. I am sure your niece loved the Princess ears. My favorite niece turned 25 today, but still loves princess ears.

:welcome:

Thanks for saying I look ok in my pictures...I'm trying to use the ok ones for this TR, trust me, there are some really awful ones that I will not put up here! :rotfl: I just have a lot of weight to lose, something I was going to do after my trip in November after we got engaged, but somehow never got around to doing...:rolleyes1

That's so cool you came home last year with a "souvenir"! :lmao: I actually asked my DH if we could try for a honeymoon baby, and I got a very serious "NO" so that was the end of it! :rotfl: You will have fun in December, I think the holiday season is the best time to go, which is why we are planning another November trip this year!

CL was amazing, it was such a nice surprise on our honeymoon! I'd like to stay CL again, how was the Poly? I'd like to stay there, but it's just SO expensive, even the standard rooms!

Nice update! Your ToT pics are great! I love the pic of you and your DH with Mickey. You guys look so cute :goodvibes

Thank you! I do love my ToT, and I think I favor it when taking pictures! :rotfl: I have some from when we went to DHS evening magic hours too, they are so cool and creepy, I'll put them up when I get to day 5!

I thought the popcorn in DHS was good, but then again, I didn't have any from MK this trip, so I can't compare! I think any Disney popcorn is good. I don't know what they do to it to make it so good but it's definitely better than anywhere else! :lovestruc
