Hi, I am staying at Anaheim for 10 in late august and early September, how busy are the parks during this time as I am trying to decide if we should get a 3 or 4 day pass. We are planning none Disney days out to places like universal studios so trying to plan our time the best we can.

We have 1 child who will be 6.

I've heard mixed things about August. One of the easiest ways of finding out quite how busy it is expected to be is to check whether the SoCal passes will work or not. For the busiest days, they don't tend to let them in.
For me, I'd always plan for an extra day. Typically, it's only something like $10 extra. For the difference, I'd rather have the flexibility of an extra day.
I haven't been to Universal in a long long time, but I've had feedback from friends and family that Universal is now a two day park to take everything in.

we usually do 3 days but it is never enough time..................this trip it's 4 day parkhoppers! My boys haveno interest in going any where but DL, I would not mind a day at Universal............but not enough to have to give up a day at DL.

4 days July through August is my suggestions.
