I probably should not find it funny but I swear my 3 year old is acting like a 13 year old. He got in trouble and went to his room slammed the door and yelled "I don't like nobody!" and he is now pitching a fit in there. Hey - better in his room than right here next to me. The door muffles the whining! ;)

Also earlier this morning he was upset that we wouldn't let him do something he wanted so he told us "Your not my family anymore".

Awfully dramatic for a 3 year old, huh? :confused3

Actually I fear that he will be running a fever in less than 12 hours. Usually his most outrageous fits are right before he gets sick.

Oh, Becka, I sure hope not. Sick kids are the pits.

Every now and then, my DS will decide that he wants to go back to Russia because he doesn't like us anymore. I remind him of what he has here vs. what he had there and that usually resolves that problem.

They're all actors, no matter what their age.

LOL, just a touch dramatic. You might suggest drama as he gets older. He sounds like my oldest daughter, good luck. :) Yep, I allowed them to have fits in their rooms, I refused to watch.

Ehh I babysat for a little boy for about a year and a half. He turned 3 in October. In the spring he got a time out for being an absolute terror. He looked at me, stamped his foot and told me "I don't have time for this".
After the timeout I was trying to get him to clean up, and do what he was supposed to do. He hopped on his tricycle (yes, he gets to ride indoors  ), and told me "I'll be back in one minute". I asked him where he was going. "I'm movin out".
Yup, they're dramatic.
And I sure hope he's not getting sick!

I have a drama queen also, will run to her room close the door and yell, this is stinky, you don't love me...

She can be a very loud little snot sometimes. 3 is 2 with attitude!

Maybe if we go through this now the teenage years will be a piece of cake? Right? (why do I hear crickets?)

I hope he isn't getting sick. Good luck.

I have a 3 yr old niece. I've been telling people she's really a mini teenager! Hasn't learned eye rolling yet, but she'll be there soon. And then she can be such a sweetie. I'm lucky, I get to send her home!

LOL. The little one I babysat for was notorious for his eye roll. His grandmother called one time while I was there and asked to talk to him while she was waiting for his father to come in. The little one sat on the counter, holding the phone to his ear rolling his eyes the entire time :rotfl:

I was watching the 3 yr old & her big sister this weekend. And yes, she has learned the eye roll! I had to laugh.

Kids are funny! I teach pre-school ages 3,4 during the day and one little girl, she is 4 has major attitude. I told her to go back to the table even if she was done eating and she said no, I'm done I'm not sitting down. I told her to look everyone else is still sitting at the table and talking.

She said "Teacher Malaysia, I do not care about those other children, I am sitting here now LEAVE ME ALONE you are beginning to get on my nerves. Now look what you've done, I have a headache". She began to hold her head, it was so funny, of course I couldn't laugh.
