We will be arriving on a Saturday morning.

Plans as of now-

Arrival day- Ohana breakfast, resort time, Whispering Canyon dinner. Room service snacks later.

Day 2- MK (party day- leaving at 7pm back to room)

Day 3- HS

Day 4- Pirate Adventure cruise. Resort time. MVMCP.

We are staying in the MK area- should I add some MK time on arrival day as well or leave it as it is?
We are skipping AK this time, so that isn't an option. Either MK or just resort w/ maybe mini golf or Disney Springs, will be back in room in time for Wishes.

Which resort are you staying at?

I forgot about the campfire, maybe I could just add that in on arrival day. Can I get enough done at MK with 2 days when 1 we leave at 7, and other just there for the party?

That is what I have planned for our next trip. One MK day on a party day (so RD to 7pm) and one night at MVMCP. I think we'll have plenty of time to do everything we want to do. Although we've been many times and won't mind skipping some things. And we plan to use the party time mostly for rides, as we don't care much about seeing characters. We will want to see shows and parades though.

Short answer, I think you will do a lot in that amount of time if you have a good touring plan!

So on your rope drop-7 day you don't take a resort break?

I couldn't arrive early in the day at the Contemporary and not spend any time at the MK. We are leaving tomorrow for a stay at the Poly and our first day we will spend some time at the pool, and then head over to the MK for dinner, use our Fastpasses, and watch the parade and fireworks. We have also been in the fall and love MNSSHP and Hallowishes, but also love Wishes, so I would try to see both.

We stayed at Poly last time and did the same - pool, captain cooks, boat to MK, on arrival day! It was great!

We do have a theme park view room, which is why I planned on being back in time for the EWP and Wishes- if we don't do MK- HOWEVER, we will watch them from the room on our non party MK day, so this isn't mandatory.

My hesitation is that it will be a very early morning for us, followed by a late night before, and then another early Rope drop morning at MK the next day. So I thought maybe a slow paced resort time day with a hop over to Poly first for Ohana and later to WL to see Christmas decorations/WC, then back for marshmallows, and up to the room for fireworks- asleep directly after.

BUT- if you were a child would it drive you crazy to be so close to MK and not be going to any park?

I would leave it as it is unless you want to just go for a little bit on arrival day, Your so close it wont be much trouble or time traveling to and from MK.

I do think I will leave it..it the only way to fit in Ohana and Whispering Canyon- and I think Wilderness Lodge should be beautiful at Christmas!

I considered MK for evening only- but then again run into the early morning problem the next day. I'm attempting to keep this trip a tad slower paced than our previous one.

If I change my mind last minute can we add a day to our tickets same day?

If you have been there before then yes I would keep your plan the same. If you went to MK on arrival it would not be to slowed paced running here and there. Everyone needs a day there to just slow down and enjoy things. I have always been the kind to run here and there trying to fit everything in. I'am finally going to go at a slower pace our next trip by only going to the parks in the evening. I think with adding an extra day on your park tickets you can do that anytime as long as you still have one day left on them when you do. I may be wrong and maybe someone else can answer that one.

What we did on our last trip was we arrived on the 4th and went to the park around 4 (it had rained). We met Tinkerbell, did Pirates (fp), BTMRR (fp), Flying Carpets, Liberty Tree, HM (fp), IASW, Peter Pan, Storytime with Belle, Ariel ride, Carousel, Celebrate the magic, watched Wishes from the bus. Next morning had 8 am ADR for BOG, 7DMT down, (had fp), Peter Pan (fp), 7D still down, Carousel twice, Tea Cups, IASW, 7D still down, Ariel ride, Pooh, 7D up but monster fp line, Barnstormer down, met Daisy and Minnie, still long line for 7D, Philharmagic, met Merida, had fp for SM (down) gave up and decided to go to Frontierland, train down, walked to Adventureland, lunch at Skippers, left park at 3. Swam. On the 8th our Princess day, Jungle Cruise, BBB, met Cinderella/Rapunzel, lunch at CRT, met Anna and Elsa (fp), rode Ariel, met Ariel, (fp) FoF parade and baked in the hub, fp for 7D, canceled BOG dinner, met Tiana, Move it Shake it Dance Street Party, left for resort to swim and watched a movie on the lawn at the resort. Never did do SM. DS and DDIL returned to MK and rode a few things then went to DS.
We didn't do everything but we did enough.
