3 Little Pigs, eat in WDW and beyond. 2 weeks of food! UPDATED 8/29

Thanks for joining me everyone, will get going with thiss properly later. I have lots of food pictures to upload!

Sunday 3rd August.

I won't bore you with details of what we ate on our travel day, but to summarise we had an English breakfast at the airport (which as usual was RIDICULOUSLY expensive!!!), we had some nasty plane food and lots of Pringles and Jammy Dodgers to get us through the 9 hour flight. We finally arrived at POFQ at about 9pm (2am uk time) and were so exhausted we grabbed some ribs and chicken from the food court, which I really can't remember eating and our wonderful refill mugs!!

Next up, Cosmic Rays and BOMA!

I promise the reviews will be more exciting than this one! ;)

Can't wait to read more Verity - why IS airport food so outrageously dear :confused3

Now I'm obsessed with throwing ourselves a double digit dance party!

Looking forward to your report. Your daughter is absolutely adorable. By the way, what is a Jammy Dodger?:confused3

Fill me in? What's a Jammy Dodger? Sounds sweet and yummy.

A Jammy Dodger is one of the yummiest biscuits (cookies) ever. It's two shortcake biscuits (cookies) with a sticky raspberry jam centre. Very, very delicious. I like the mini Jammy Dodgers you can get (think mini oreos but 100 times mre delicious) :thumbsup2

Well finally here goes!!

monday 4th August.

As usual for us Brits, we were wide awake at 5am, so up and showered I hit Sassalouga Food Factory at 2 minutes past 6!!! I got Simon a hot chocolate and a coffee for myself, then indulged in a cherry danish each and a yoghurt for Evie. Thoses cherry danishes are just divine! I can't describe them, but my mouth is watering just thinking of them!

As we were up early for the opening ceremony at MK, by 10.45 we were peckish. Now we couldn't find anywhere in Fantasyland that was open for breakfast, so headed round to Cosmic Rays. They didn't serve breakfast, so we got three kiddies meals to share to keep us going till our 5.45 reservation at Boma. We got some chicken nuggets and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. We don't really do peanut butter in a big way in the UK and I can't bear the thought of it in a sandwich, but DH thought it was amazing, thoses were his exact words! Evie and I stuck to nuggets!!

BOMA

We arrived at about 5pm and had a wander round the beautiful resort, we checked in at 5.30 and started with some drinks, I had a glowtini, which was so yummy! S and E shared some sort of fruit smoothie.

We had to wait till 6.05 to be seated and the restaurant was absolutely heaving! I was so excited to be eating there as I had read so much about it! I informed Si that we had to begin with the soup, I had a stew/soup of some description, which was so nice. I don't really like soup too much, but could have ate a gallon of this, I had two bowls! Simon had a seafood soup Ithink.

For mains, we both had two plates of food:

Everything was delicious, we both thoroughly enjoyed it.

We shared some desserts:

I wasn't sure I wold like the Zebra domes, but they were delicious!

Oh and here's Evie's plate!!

Overall, we loved Boma, the food was SO good! The server wasn't great, not very friendly, but OK. Simon didn't really like the atmosphere of the place, he compared it to school canteen! I felt that was reather harsh, but it was very busy!

Would we go back? YES

FOOD: V, 9/10. S, 8/10
SERVICE: V, 7/10. S, 6/10
ATMOSPHERE: V, 7/10. S, 6/10

OVERALL: Verity: 8/10, Simon 7/10

Great start Verity - those glowtinis are yummy, aren't they? The food at Boma look really nice and every time I read a review, I think I really ought to give it a try despite being a fussy eater. Maybe next time ;)

Love the Glowtinis!!! I think there would be plenty you would like Joh, it was one of my favourite meals, mind you I said that about most of them! ;)

Tuesday 5th August.

We started with breakfast in the food court. I had a Mickey waffle with bacon, I really love American bacon which is quite different to ours and it is yummy with waffles and syrup! The waffle was much bigger than it looks in all the pictures and I struggled to finish it. Simon had a Ham and cheese omlette which he really enjoyed and Evie had a Mickey waffle bacon and apple sauce which she didn’t touch, but liked her dad’s omlette!

We spent the morning by the pool and had some food in our room for lunch, again from the food court. I really liked the food court and it was lovely that the food was so freshly cooked, but boy could the wait be long! Evie had a grilled cheese sandwhich which she really enjoyed and we shared a philly cheese steak sandwhich with peppers and onions, it was really tasty.

The rest of the day was spent in EPCOT. We were ready for dinner when we hit Mexico, so had dinner on the terrace at the Cantina. We both had the Combo and Evie had the children’s meal. I’ve read that a lot of people don’t enjoy this, but we thought it was yummy for counter service food and this was one of the only meals that Evie actually ate this trip, so we were happy!

I finished the evening off with a glass of Asti Spumante in Italy and Simon got a Mcflurry on the way out which was just ginormous, double the size we have at home, but he forced it down!!

Tomorrow: Cape May breakfast, food court and Sizzler!!
