Gas has been much less than even NC here! We are not looking at the Tampa/Clearwater area exactly....it's just easier to write that so my friends have a general idea. We are staying in Safety Harbor - a quaint old FL small city where a Pedi at the local nail salon is $50!! Obviously, not everyone living here is "Old Florida". There is an excellent Montessori school here that goes up to 8th grade, then an excellent HS with an International Baccalaureate program. Also a Waldorf school.

Our first choice would likely be the Sarasota area, but Mia wants to be not more than about 30 mins from her best friend (who has a little ones very close to Sophia's age and they all hit it off).




Our last night here, but we did decide to spend tomorrow night in Amelia Island...then the long drive home on Sunday and Mia has to work on Monday.




P.S. Linda GG, don't forget...when you do a solo trip, give me some notice and I will join you for a long weekend!! Would be fun!!

Christine I would love to have you join me for a few days! I know I'll have a few days at the end of my Oct trip that I'll be solo. The problem with this trip is that my AP expires on Oct 23rd or 24th and I planned to finish out the trip just resort/pool (legal) hopping. DD will leave on Oct 21st and DH either the same day or Oct 22/23rd depending on airfare. I'm scheduled to check into OKW on Oct 22nd and checkout on the 26th but as I said if I can get a good deal on AoA for a couple of nights I might stay longer. I just can't seem to justify activating another AP for just a couple of days when I can activate it in Jan and it'll be good for both my Jan and Dec trips.

So EXCITED that you are coming on this trip. It's going to be so much fun ... all the holiday decorations! I just love Christmas! Now all we need are some discounts. I'll have an AP and when we are there in Jan we can check for BB. Or of course we can always rent points but then we can't do as much changing! I'm good with any resort .... I've stayed in all of them except .... All Stars (no desire to stay there), Poly and GF .... and I've enjoyed them all! I wonder who else might decide to join us?

Wouldn't a great BB be fantastic in Jan!!! No AS for me either...but open to just about any other resort...as long as we keep in within a somewhat reasonable DELUXE budget.

You do know I am SCIP trained (STRATEGIC CRISIS INTERVENTION PROCEEDURES) Basically is the moves to stop physical behaviors with the least restrictive method of stopping them !!If you are good at the earliest methods ie talking them down , the others aren't needed . Believe me I am a master at talking them down
