3 Generations... Two Weeks at Disney... Only the Strong Will Survive!!!! Take 2

Hi! Well it sounds like you have made some awesome plans. Wish I could stay in Disney for two weeks! :) Keep up your writing, you're very good at it and I can tell its very therapeutic for you. I read Mya's CaringBridge story from your signature, and what a brave little girl she was while here. And what a brave mama you are, and what a comfort it must be to know you have such an angel looking over you. I hope you and your family have an absolutely FANTASTIC time in Disney and everyone feels the magic! :thumbsup2

YAY FOR BOOKING YOUR AIRLINE TICKETS! I love that part, since after air fare is booked, everything feels more...REAL AND SET IN STONE! I'm sure you and your mom will have a great time...

Hi. :wave2: pixiedust: Welcome to the PTR. pixiedust: Thank you for stopping by and for complimenting my writing. I love writing and you are right that I use it for therapeutic purposes. I always express myself better in writing than I do when speaking. Hope you keep reading. :)

Well, at least you'll be staying on-site again...and at the Contemporary to boot!

That is a major plus, being able to stay on property now. I am extra excited about staying at the Contemporary and hope it lives up to expectations. My Mom has stayed there before and while I would have been happy staying at a cheaper resort with the dining plan, my Mom refused to stay anywhere else. So my expectations for the Contemporary is set really high right now. I have to admit though that I do love how central it is to the different parks and other resorts on property.

You are absolutely right. the trip did not feel official until I brought those plane tickets. Afterwards, I just sat there and said to myself, "Wow! This is really real! I am really going to Disney in a month." I am getting more excited with each passing week. I feel like all the changing plans and cancellations within this past year have been sooo worth it because I am finally going to my happy place!!! :cool1:

So we have 24 or 25 days left until we leave. I haven't quite gotten the estimation down but I am sticking with the lower number because it seems closer til we leave for Disney. ;) I have ordered the T-Shirts for our trip and then only have to iron on our DISigns made by some awesome DISigners here on the DIS. I also created a couple of designs for our shirts in Universal. I think they are awesome and that I did a great job on them but I am extremely biased in my judgement. After that we only have a few more things to take care of and we are outta here!!! So to recap what was done/paid for already:

Finished:
Universal Trip
Plane Tickets
Deposit for Room to Disney
T-Shirts
T-Shirt DISsigns
Magical Express Plans
Rental Car Reservation
ADR's (all made)

Get The Ball Rolling and Step up Your Game!!!
Payoff Disney Room (August 1st)
Luggage (August 3rd)
Park Tickets (August 3rd)
Crocs
Summer Clothing
Camera
Water Camera

So prayerfully everything will work out the way it is supposed to and we will have everything paid off before we leave.

We have officially 17 days until we leave. We also have 10 days until we move to a new apartment. :scared1: I am excited but stressed at the same time. Technically I am not moving to a new apartment building, just a different apartment but there is still so much to do. I have to pack up and clean an entire apartment, move everything to a different one, unpack everything , and then pack for our Disney vacation which by time this is done, I will really need.

On with the good news. Yesterday I came home to find...... MICKEY MAIL!!!!! We have our ME tags and are ready to go. Today we are also paying half of our hotel costs for the Contemporary. By next week, everything will be paid off!!!!! :woohoo:

Yey for Mickey Mail! You will be moving and packing for Disney....omg! I'm stressed just thinking about all that. However, try to get some rest a few days before you go, which I know will be rather difficult with a recent move. Can't wait to see your pics and everything once you get back. Have tons of fun!

It is really stressful to move and pack for a trip but my excitement for Disney really makes it easier.

We have eleven more days before we leave and I have been super busy!! My apartment also pushed back our moving date until the 10th of August, so now 5 days after we move, we will be leaving for Florida. I brought almost all the things we need. I brought the park tickets, luggage, a camera, crocs. and some extra things like sunscreen, lotion, and bug spray. Next week on the 8th, we will be able to do online check in for the Contemporary and after we move, I will make our shirts. I will post pictures of the shirts as soon as our camera arrives.

Today I completed our online check-in and the only request I made was for ground floor. Since we have a discounted rate, we can only get the garden view rooms and the only rooms with a nice outside part to sit are the ground floor rooms. Hopefully we will get our requests. I am also finished shopping for the things needed for the trip and was able to add some items to our list thanks to the Tips board on the DIS. Our trip is so close, only 6 days away, and I am so excited that I can barely focus. Good thing that I am fairly busy up until the day that we leave, so I do not have too much time to dwell on this trip. I still have to wait for some items to arrive in the mail and tomorrow is the last day of my jobs ESY program and I am really going to miss my kids next year. I was really blessed to receive such a great class my first year there. I am also moving on Friday, need to make the T-shirts, Going to my church's picnic on Saturday, Church on Sunday, Packing, and I have a church meeting to attend on the 14th(also known as the day before I leave for Florida) at 7 pm. The next day we need to leave at 4:30 am. All this has to be done while I have two weeks of online class left. I am tired just thinking about it. :laundy:

I have a question for anyone who can answer. How do you iron on the designs with transfer paper and not have the words come out backwards?

Are you printing your designs? If you are, generally you can flip the image in photoshop or even Paint to get the wording backward. Then print it out so when you iron, it will be right way around on the finished product.

Good luck with your busy busy week!

Thank You, I have been trying to figure it out but have yet to get it right. I already printed all of my designs so back to Walmart tomorrow for more transfer paper. :sad1:

Tomorrow I wake up at 3 am (If I go to sleep at all!!!) and get ready to go to Florida!!!!!:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

I have some last minute things to like homework (boo!!!), last minute packing checks, figure out how to work my music player, print out itinerary, clean bathroom, clean room. i have a lot to do but I am so excited!!!! We are almost there. So, I am thinking of doing a dining report and a trip report. We will see how that plan works out. :rolleyes1

Okay, so just wanted to share my excitement, now I'm going back to work.
