What the heck is going on with the boards this morning???? Looks like NO activity from midnight to 7 am (ish) and then multiple empty threads, mixed up postings???? Please don't do this to me before I've had my morning coffee quota! It's messing with what little is left of my mind!

They were doing stuff to the servers last night and it appears some of the code got screwed up.

I'm not sure if any one you listen to the Dis Unplugged Podcast, but there has been talk on there of switching to a new server company (or something computer-ish like that). I can imagine that is causing the oddities. But good news, they say the boards will be faster when the transition is complete

I kept getting an error that Internet Explorer couldn't direct me to DIS. Got the same message yesterday morning. FINALLY, a message came up from a name of Alex stating for the next ten days they will be switching out servers and at times the DIS will be down. My guess is the posts are just getting mixed up with the transition

lol I got it. I posted about this too. it's crazy.

who knows what my reply will be. I've had everything this morning from politics, disigns requests, cats dying, being sick, and a reply that came out like a complaint about wet tshirts and such.

Now I'm stealing peoples pictures others have posted and calling them my own. Oh well. I would almost rather the boards be closed for the move as other than some comic relief they are useless now.

Yes, glad it's not just me!!

I was reading a post yesterday and saw robo had replied but it was totally irrelevant and confusing. So I quoted him and just wrote, huh?! Then when my post appeared I saw what I had quoted him as saying actually made sense!

Made me look like a right mug!!!!!

I don't know about everyone else but I'm really getting a kick out of the problems today. Reading some of the replies and people's reactions are priceless. I think I'm going to take screenshots for future enjoyment.

After the servers came back up last night, I posted my whole pre trip report and wrote some replies. This morning when I woke up, there was nothing in my thread. My PTR was empty and none of my replies showed up either. I thought it was just my account but I'm glad I was not the only one. I just wish I didn't have to repost my whole PTR, it took me hours to write the other one.

Is there a post where your PTR should be? If so, edit and save the post and it should appear the way it's supposed to.

Unfortunately there was no post, just a blank page where the post was supposed to be. When I tried to reply so I could fix it, words popped up saying that the thread was invalid. I had to re paste the whole thing over again. Thankfully I had saved a backup copy just in case.

Some of the posts from this thread even are gone that were there yesterday. Other than missing posts from yesterday I havn't noticed anything yet this morning, hopefully it's fixed.

ETA: spoke to soon forgot that when you reply you get a weird string error of text on the blue submit screen while waiting on it to save. was just 1 string earlier this one had 2 when I saved it.
