The Contemporary
Early Morning Pictures
Day 8
After a fun filled evening at Victoria & Alberts, I was well rested and decided it would be a great opportunity for some early morning shots! As most of you know
early morning at any resort is my favorite time at Disney
no people, no hustle & bustle, no loud noises!
When I walked out of the room, I automatically went straight to the wall and took a peek over
.
See
.I told you
nothing, nobody...everything is closed!
While waiting for the elevator, I noticed this particular piece of art work and furniture
.
Something hit me
lots of people (myself included) make mention of the CR not having a theme like the Poly, WL, BC, etc. Well
hello
its all in the name of the resort!....THE CONTEMPORARY
everything is modern, very sleek, hard lines, lots of black, silver, white
it really does have a very dynamic theme if you take a careful look.
I liked this quick service restaurant
it never seemed super busy like some
plenty of seating, a very spacious drink/condiment area & ample choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner
not to mention that it was pretty cool to see the monorail zooming through every so often.
Out to the 4th floor observation deck! I kinda wanted to see if it was clean
any trash like the last time. And guess what??....no trash, no cigarette butts
very clean!
Ok
I know these pictures are a bit strange, but after my realization of the whole theme thing, I really started taking notice of the architectural designs and colors of the CR.
One day Im going to try BLT. Im still not sure how I feel about having to walk so far to all the food areas
.after staying in the Tower, Im a bit spoiled. I think it took me all of 2 minutes to get to the Contempo Café for a refill!
Perhaps some of you have seen this, but I never have. I was completely amazed and just started flashing pictures.
Both monorails were traveling the same way and traveling at the same rate of speed. It really appeared that they were racing!
After the Monorail 500, I headed down stairs to look around at the very empty CR
and when I say empty
I mean desolate! Literally, I only saw 5 or 6 people the entire time I was out.
We didnt get a chance to eat at the Wave on this trip; however it really is worth a stop! Back in October, it was basically the only dinner ADR that was left for our last minute
MNSSHP trip. Soooooo glad we did it! Great service & great food!
Time to move outside and watch the sun rise over Bay Lake
.once again
my most favorite time at WDW! Even if you arent a morning person, make time on your trip for just one early morning venture
its mentally rejuvenating.
So
.how many pictures have been made in front of this??!!
I sat here for a bit just observing the beauty of the lake and listening to nature
its amazing what you can hear when nobody is around.
Realizing that time was ticking, I forced myself up from this gorgeous view.
We never had anything to eat from the Sand Bar, but had our mugs refilled quite a few times while we were by the pool
.very convenient. The Sand Bar offers snack foods, sandwiches, burgers, along with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Its located next the pool and marina behind the lobby.
Stay tuned
.more early morning pictures to come!
