The time is flying by til my trip (but still not fast enough!!) and I just want to get a couple things straight.

I've used DME before but this time I don't want to use the luggage pick up aspect of it. So to do this, I just leave off the yellow tags correct? Then go to baggage and pick up my own bag and it'll go on the bottom of the coach, right? Does this screw up DME with having to wait for people that do this or anything?

Secondly, it was only when I paid off my balance and went into my reservation details that I saw my flight times had changed. Was Disney supposed to inform me of this when it changed or is there a particular point when they tell you? What if it changes again?

Lastly, this is the first time I've ever booked completely through Disney. I've always had my flights booked on my own. I imagine my Mickey mail won't have plane tickets in it right? I'm flying Airtran, so what do I do to get my ticket/boarding pass? Do I need the card I used to book the flight/package? Do I just give them my name?

Ok lol, so it was actually several questions but on 3 topics. I'd just like to get this stuff clear in my head before I get there!

haven't ever flown to WDW so as someone that helps others plan their trips i'd be interested as well.

Just leave the tags off and claim your bags. It won't be a problem at all.

Honestly, I've never booked air through Disney so I don't know how/when they notify people of changes. I usually get notification directly from the carrier.

I highly doubt you will get a paper ticket. Most everything is electronic, even packages with air. 24 hours prior to your flight you can go online at the Airtran site and use your confirmation number to check in and print your boarding passes. You can also print boarding passes at the airport. You don't need the card you paid for your trip with, but if you use the kiosk, one way they look you up is by credit card...so any card that will do, but you can also have the kiosk look you up by confirmation or by destination city. It's really very easy.

I booked my flights through Disney too. I called and asked for the confirmation number so that I could sign up on the JetBlue website to receive updates etc. Well the number that the CM gave me would not work on JetBlue's website. So I called JetBlue and they looked up the reservation for me and gave me the correct confirmation number. It wasn't even close to what the CM gave me so no idea where she got her info from.

So, now I can go into JetBlue's website and print my boarding passes the day before we fly. I also printed out the receipt showing the flights were fully paid for.
So, just give Disney and AirTran a call, I'm sure they will be more than happy to help you.

I received my Mickey Mail last week. It contains my flight info, info about MCO, info about DME. Souvenir luggage tags and yellow DME luggage tags are also in there. They also included a pamphlet about the trip insurance.
On the back of the page that has the info about MCO there are bar codes and it says they are to be used for transportation services (DME).

I had the same issue with flight confirmation number. When I called Airtran about something else, they told me I needed a "record locator or check in ID" which Disney gave me no problem over. It was totally different than the flight confirmation number they gave me a few months ago. I went on Airtran's site to pick my seats, I know I can print my boarding passes from there but my printer is how shall we say....satan disguised as office equipment. I'll have to go on and see if they have a flight alert thingy.

and PP, thanks again for the coupon!!!!

The travel agency's number is often different than the airline's confirmation...the agency's (Disney, Amex, any other travel agency) generally references the entire booking, not just the airfare. Sometimes if you scan through all the coding at the bottom, it will list the air carrier's confirmation number, but sometimes you have to call and specifically ask.
