3 days with 3 yo - which parks?

We have 3 days at the end of September: Friday, Saturday & Sunday. I think we definitely want to do Magic Kingdom and (dare I say it here?) SW, but not sure what to do for the 3rd. At first I was thinking MGM because DS is completely obsessed with Pixar's Cars and I think there is a parade (?), but I don't think there would be much else that would be really amazing for him. Animal Kingdom seems to me like a zoo ... I have kind of ruled that out without looking at it though. And I think Epcot may be too over his head this time around.

SO - really, I need help for the 3rd day. What should I pick, between MGM, Animal Kingdom and Epcot?

Thanks for any help!

I think it depends on your child's personality. So you know where I'm coming from, I have a 2 yo DS and a 4 yo DD and wnet to WDW last month. Personally, I'd do 2 days at Magic Kingdom. It is really impossible to do it all in 1 day anyway and it offers the most for kids that age.

MGM is mostly shows, not rides. My DS doesn't yet have the attention span to sit in shows very long so it was a bust for us. If your DS is really into CARS or Playhouse Disney this would be an ok choice though.

Does your DS like to color or people watch? Epcot might be fun. That would be my personal second choice. There's the Nemo ride and the tanks. Then World Showcase has the Kidcot stations which my 4 yo really enjoyed. Also it might be fun for you!

I know many people disagree but we also did not enjoy Animal Kingdom. We have great zoos where we live and we just werent' impressed. Also I found the CM not to be as friendly there as other parks. Maybe it was just a bad day. I've heard that they have great shows there but as previously stated, shows were not workable for us this last trip.

Thanks for the reply! I was also thinking a possible 2 days spent at WDW. But I will also look more into Epcot. I'm glad you confirmed my initial suspicion about AK!

After just returning on Friday, I can tell you that I wish we wouldn't have even attempted AK! DS4 and DD9 didn't get a thing out of it, although I'm sure a lot of it was due to the extreme heat and crowds. It was by far our worst day on our trip.

DS4 is also obsessed with Cars so we went to MGM. We got to meet Lightning and Mater. They are not in the parade (which I thought they were), but the parade was really great. The Cars have a meet and greet several times throughout the day.

Other than that, we ate at Sci Fi, which was fun, ate again at Toy Story Pizza Planet, saw Muppets 3D.

I'd say definitely two days at Magic Kingdom, possible zipping over to MGM if possible to meet the Cars characters.

We just got back with our 3 year old. I would say 2 days at MK, probably. I have a book that gave a 2-day touring plan for little kids that would work great.

I agree 2 days at MK, and maybe you can hop on the late afternoon to Epcot and enjoy the world showcase. In this case I would bring a stroller for your son.
