it looks like we will take our first trip to universal in late August (calendars say moderate crowd levels 6/10 ish ). 3 nights at an on-site deluxe (leaning toward rpr) and 3 days in parks. Check in Saturday evening, so Sunday, monday, Tuesday ( check out day) in parks. Definitely want afternoon pool time. Will have park to park

We are family of four, two 9 yos, huge Harry potter fans, kids aren't big thrill ride fans. not sure how they will do on simulator rides. Focus will be potter stuff, but will fit in other things. They will ride all hp stuff they can, due to obsession with all things hp.

I do not understand how to plan the potter stuff, including HE. Do I start at one park, do all potter stuff there, then ride HE to the other? But then the other one will be packed, right? Then switch the next day? But universal doesn't alternate EE, right? Any suggestions? Are evenings less crowded?

Thanks!

stay on site at the darkside and get the hotel perk of being allowed into the park for early entry.
this is a period of one hour for hotel guests only prior to the official opening time of the parks.

UO decides which park will have early entry.
potter section will be open.
if at the studios, DE has been the one ride outside of potter that allows guests to ride in this time period.
at ioa, could be spiderman or another designated ride.

if only one park has the early entry on your visits, go with that park and hit potter early.
each day......

then move on to other parts of that park or do the HE to the other park and explore.

the parks are close together and it won't be more than a short walk to switch to one of them.

You will be so pleased with how easy it is do everything in three days. The US/IOA parks are so easily done when you stay on site with express passes that you really don't need much of a plan at all.

Thank you both for the replies! HP is our main focus, and I am just stressing about seeing both sections without hordes of people . It is hard to remember that it doesn't take as much planning as wdw!
