We are taking a quick 4 night / 3 park day trip from December 2nd to 6th to honor my recently passed husband’s 50th birthday. It was his 50th birthday wish to walk down his favorite place…Main Street USA in Magic Kingdom. I will be going with my 7 year old son and my parents and staying at AKL. Our first night there we plan to explore our resort or maybe walk around Disney Springs for dinner and some shopping.

So, the question is this, best way to split my days to make the most of them. Our first park day will be dedicated to MK (his birthday) with maybe a brief break for dinner at Citricos (one of his favs) before back to MK for fireworks.

So I have 2 remaining days and 3 parks. We were at Disney 3 years ago during spring break (never again) and plan on going for a full week in December 2019.

My son loves Toy Story and Star Wars, I would love to see Pandora, and get to Soarin’ as it was closed last time we were there.

Any recommendations are appreciated.

What a sweet celebration of a loved one now so missed. Blessings to you!

With only 3 days and 4 parks, are you considering getting park hoppers or are you going to just do 3 of the 4? If you don't do park hoppers, I would say you decide between Soarin' and Pandora for one park and then do Studios for your son for the other park. If you do park hoppers, then I would probably decide where to go when after I made FP+ to see what is available.

Exactly how my family would want our lives to be celebrated!

HS and EP both do Christmas really well. If you get parkhoppers, do a morning at AK then hop over to EP. If not, I would skip AK. Mt favorite part is the animals, and you already have them at your resort!

Also, be sure to check the Christmas party dates and plan accordingly.

Thank you.

We do have park hoppers. Luckily the Christmas Party doesn't interfere with our day at MK. I am thinking of splitting Epcot into 2 days and matching each half with HS and AK. One of the nights we are there has EHM at Epcot at night.

Is it best to avoid this? I always read about the crowds being crazier during EHM. If so, maybe I will do Epcot that morning and go to HS for afternoon/night. Then do AK in the morning the next day and finish up at Epcot at night for dinner.

I love EPCOT during the late EMH! Most of Future World is open with little to no wait. There are a few lines right after the fireworks, but the second hour everything is walk-on except TT and Soarin.

What a great way to celebrate him!
Splitting the 3 parks into 2 days is diffficult.
Splitting EPCOt into 2 days is not a bad idea.
We find enough to do at AK, that we spend a full day there. If you cannot get FPs for FoP, that could take a big chunk of your 1/2 day.
HS - Would suggest RD for TSL. Obviously need FP for SDD, RD TSM, then AS2, followed by FP for SDD.

Enjoy.
