Is the 3 day hopper enough? We want to be able to see everything but don't want to rush around the parks trying to squeeze it all in. We will only be in CA for a week and we plan to spend the first 4 or 5 days sight seeing in Hollywood, LA and San Diego. I'm sure that my DH would rather skip DL all together but he knows that there is no chance of me missing it. I eat, breath and sleep all things Disney. I know....it's an illness :faint:

Three days will let you see a lot. It won't be EVERYTHING, but it will probably be all things you are most interested in.

If you are there at opening, you can get on a lot rides in the morning. In the afternoon you can zip over to DCA and see stuff there. It is not uncommon for us to go back and forth several times a day. But we always do moringing at DL. If you want to try to get on Toy Story first thing one morning, you might want to head over to DCA at its opening. But that is the only thing I can think of that would be worth getting there at opening for. All the other big rides have fast pass.

When are you going?

Pink is right...you should be able to hit all the "must-do's" and park hopping is efficient. But to really enjoy it all and take your time, four days is optimal. That said, most people only book two or three days and have no complaints. The two most important things to remember are: Fastpass and getting there at park opening. Read Hydroguys tips - they really work. Have a wonderful time.:)

3 days is like the minimum probably-can-squeeze-most-in and may feel a little more rushed, but 3 is better than none! Two is probably the bare minimum for any trip.

Your husband and your trip sounds just like mine! We are only in CA for a week and have about 2 weeks worth of things we want to do. My DH is not too excited about DL either....I know that illness you speak of!

Thanks for the advice.

Now I just need to try and plan the other things that we want to do. I would rather have every day laid out but DH wants to just 'wing-it'. He said just get in the car and see what we see. I supppose it's a compromise....I get my 3 days at DL, micro planned....and he gets his wings.

I am also of the oppinion that if you want to do EVERYTHING and not be rushed you need four days. I think three is ok to do most everything but you need to keep a pretty steady pace and know what is must do for you to make sure you get it in first. Have a blast!!!
