Beyond EXCITED!

Your plans sound awesome! You must be so excited now that you are down to 3 weeks!
I am loving the 10 days of celebration and wishing I could steal it. Reality for us is that the last week before vacation usually gets crazy with DH and I trying to wrap things up at work so we can be out for 2 weeks
Maybe I will do something similiar only make it day 20-10 and leave the last ten days open for the inevitable firedrills.![]()
how fun!
we've never done anything to prepare for a Disney trip. We moved and visited family in the days leading up to our last one. The one before that DH was finishing up his bachelors. For our honeymoon, we of course had a wedding!
It would be fun to start doing something!
I love the 10 days to vacation celebrations! What a neat idea! I've heard of movie nights and counting down the weeks to vacation but not a whole ten days of counting down. I may just have to steal that idea! Well, not steal but borrow.![]()
Every time we take a big family vacation, we do a 10 Days to Vacation Celebration. For 10 days before we leave, we do something special to get us excited for our trip. (not that we really need help getting excited!) I try to make the events related in some way to the trips itinerary. Since we are doing a cruise AND Disney this year, it was a little harder, but here are the celebrations we will be doing. Jeff and I worked on these together, so I cant take all the credit!
Day 10Saturday March 23rd: Take Me Out to the Ballgame! Since we will be going to a baseball game, we thought this would be fun! We will also use this celebration to let Jonah in on the secret .he doesnt know yet that we got tickets for the game. We will have hot dogs and baseball fare for dinner as well as do some baseball-related activities.
Day 9Sunday March 24th: Mickey Mouse pancakes for breakfast!
Day 8Monday March 25th: Watch Wreck-It Ralph and have arcade snacks. Jonah is the only one in the family who has seen this movie.
Day 7Tuesday March 26th: Germany Day! A tribute to one of our favorite World Showcase Countries! I will make some Potato and Leek Soup, schnitzel, and Black Forest cake. I may also try to find a German game or craft to do.
Day 6Wednesday March 27th: Pirate Night! In honor of the Bahamas long tradition and history of buccaneering! Not sure what well do yet this one is still in the planning stages. Ideas?
Day 5Thursday March 28th: Mexico Day! A tribute to another World Showcase country. Well have Churros and a Mexican dish still to be decided! We may even do a piñata!
Day 4Friday March 29th: This is Good Friday and we will be traveling to my parents for the Easter holiday. I am going to make Perry the Platypus cupcakes for all the kids and take them along!
Day 3Saturday March 30th: Bon Voyage Night! I will make fruity blended drinks for everyone with cute umbrellas! We will also have poppers for all the kids that shoot confetti .a sail-away celebration of our very own!
Day 2Sunday March 31st: This is Easter Sunday. The boys will have lots of trip goodies in their baskets.
Day 1Monday April 1st: We will play Disney Scene-It and order pizza . This is a pre-vacation tradition!
Tuesday April 2nd: We leave (hopefully) by 6:00 am to begin our adventure!
Cant wait to get started!![]()

I wish I had one/tenth of your energy and fun spirit! That sounds like a blast!
But, too much work for a lazy bum like me. lol.
That sounds like a plan that might work for me also. It seems like the final week is always so hectic.
Oh, who am I kidding? I'd never be awesome enough to manage ten days of celebrations.
Can't wait to hear about all your events! And have a wonderful Easter visit with your family!!
Your 10 day celebration sounds fun! I could probably handle something like that if I kept some of the days simple with things like Mickey pancakes. I'll have to think about something fun like that!
Your "10 Days to Vacation Celebration" sound fantastic! Be sure to take pictures!![]()
