4 nights, including a Saturday. So, I'm torn between staying together for the Saturday and then getting another studio for the other 3 nights, or just getting a 1 bedroom for all 4 nights. We're friends, and I don't want to break up the three-some, but I think 4 nights in a studio will be too much togetherness. My preferred resort is VWL, that's where I have the 1 studio right now.

If we stay in the studio for Saturday and then move to 1 bedroom, then there's the problem of groceries, disrupting the trip which is short enough that I don't want to break things up and be without a room for a day.

OKW's 1 bedrom would be a compromise, 123 points for the entire stay vs. 153 1 bedroom at VWL. Bike riding/resort day/no parks with dinner at Cali Grill is already planned, convenient to VWL. What to do? 3rd person just came on board today...was lucky to get Cali Grill and Le Cellier plans changed to 3!

Points for the two studios for 3 nights, together 1 night...116 points. Any help out there? What would you do? Don't know if second studio is available, but would waitlist if I had to.

This is tough - my first response is 1 bed OKW for the comfort but you'll be missing out on our beloved WL. I think moving from the studio to a 1 bed would also be too disruptive for a 4 day trip. I know it may be a bit cozy but how much time will you be spending in the studio anyway. Would you be running out to parks and dinners in the evenings so you'd only be sleeping there. If you'll be hanging out more drinking wine on the balcony then go for the 1 bedroom at OKW. I hope I helped.

I'd go the 1 BR route no matter which resort you choose. Three adults for four days (nights?) might be too much for a studio.

Is is more important for you all to have time in the villa or be closer to the locations you've chosen for dining? Maybe you should consider BWV as a compromise. It's close to Le Cellier and a monorail ride to Cali Grille. And I believe that a standard view room points are only a little more than OKW.

With an OKW studio, you'd get two queen beds, so no one gets bummed because you got the king. You'd save a bunch of points.

I'm hearing it all...and will sleep on it! Thanks for suggestions.

See, what began as a trip for most probably solo...in an AKV value studio...DSis joined for sure, so I went to VWL...now the friend will most likely come, it's not definite, but I figure it's better to have the dinner reservations...so glad I was even able to change Le Cellier.

If I didn't psych myself for VWL, I would go to OKW in an instant...probably the 1 bedroom, that seems a reasonable number of points for 3 people and a great time. I think that riding bikes around that lovely resort will almost be as nice as riding the campground. I've never riden a bike there...this would be a chance to do that...maybe see the otters.

1 bedroom at VWL would be the way to go, spend the points!! Nothing like renting bikes at VWL and heading over to the campground, riding around, renting canoes, get back on bikes, and ride somemore! It's amazing how much there is to do over there. Go to Trails End and sit on porch have a wine or beer while sitting on a rocking chair!

When you ride over, you can also pop into the petting zoo and horse stables, I love those big draft horses!!!

:goodvibes Me too...I love the campground, the horse stables....and it's been a dream to have some time to spend at the VWL with some friends..enjoying that as well as the parks.

I agree a one bedroom would be more comfortable. If it's a points issue I would go with OKW 1 bedroom. Request a nice golf course view, and the porches are great threre as well! :)

I have the same issue. Snagged a SSR studio and then lost my mind and invited 3 girlfriends. One has signed on but if the other two do as well, we'll be REALLY friendly in a studio for 5 days! Nobody better snore...:headache:

Well, I'd probably do the 1 bedroom at OKW, but then you probably guessed I'd say that anyway. I do agree that riding bikes around the WL campground is fun, but so is OKW. And with OKW, there is the path to DTD that we enjoy taking along the canal too. I'd opt for the extra room of a 1 bedroom at OKW. Two people would have to share the king bed, but it sounds like you were going to bed share anyway, and a king is infinitly better than a queen there!

I know we have a snorer...maybe more than one.

So....in the end, I was lucky, able to book another studio VWL for the 3 weekday nights. We can squeeze into the studio for Saturday. If my DF was certain she was coming, I would have sprung for the 1 bedroom, but she's not sure and this seemed a good thing. If she lets me know in time to book a 1 bedroom, fine, if not we're set. In the end, it was the resort that was most pulling me, not "togetherness."

This is for Spring Break...March 10 - 24. DH is coming for the next 4 nights and we'll be at the BWV (his pick!)

I smiled so when I read this!:goodvibesIf I was starting from scratch...that would have been my pick too and someday I hope to have a "gal's time together" at OKW.

:lmao:

I did the same thing!! I had a studio lined up for BCV for the FWF. Planned on going solo. Then I invited 2 sisters and a friend and they all accepted!!! Could not uninvite them, they were all sooooo excited:goodvibes BCV has been sold out for months and availability elsewhere was spotty.

Just back and had a blast!!

Pack Breathe Rights and order extra TnT Service and have a ball!!!!! It worked great for us and BCV and FWF were awesome. I used the points I saved from not splitting studios or getting a larger villa and booked an extra night so we could have late checkout as all of our flights were late.:cloud9:
Having the room all day was soooooo worth it and my flight attendant sister decided to stay over since she could!

Have a nice trip Bobbi! Sounds like great fun!

LIFERBABE, you give me hope!

So far only one BFF has accepted and that would be perfect. I love the idea of the breath right strips. I'm going to get those. What's better than Disney with good friends? NUTHIN' !! :goodvibes

Ear plugs.

This is from my TR of our summer trip when I took my daughter and her friend. We were in a studio and I should have gotten a 1 BR or a second studio because we were crowded. Their makeup alone took up most of sink area.

"Giggling woke me up around 3:00 am which really ticked me off. It seems though I have developed a snoring habit that kept the kids awake most of the night. They were giggling listening to the recorded snoring they made on DD’s cell phone so I had to give them a break. I went back to sleep and they suffered the rest of the night."

Snoring seems to have gone away but may pack Breathe Right strips just in case.

4 nights/3 adults----definitely go with a 1 br. It is soooo worth the points. Your dining plans would be more convenient for the Cal Grill if you stay at VWL, but Le Cellier is a toss up between the 2 resorts.
They both have their pros and cons. I would go with OKW for the extra room--which is substantial!! If you had little kids and were planning to spend more time in the MK area, then I would suggest VWL, but for an all adult group, staying 4 nights with limited dining plans---OKW would be my choice. Plus you will save enough points for a future week-end trip in a studio!
