For anyone who has stayed in an AKV Value Studio...in your opinion is the room too small for 3 adults to stay comfortably for a week? Thanks so much.

3 adults - studio - a week - the major issue would be having some privacy and of course there'd only be one bathroom......(the horrors :rotfl:)

jmho would do 1 bedroom & best would be 1 bedroom with extra bathroom at AKV or BLT.

I often book value studios for just the 2 of us. When I had a trip for 3 adults, I booked the value 1 bedroom, and that was fine. Not even for a long weekend would I want to have 3 adults in a value studio.

3 adults in a value studio for a week? Um.....only if it were the last possible option.

The rooms themselves aren't that bad. It's the size of the furnishings that cause the problem. The couch cushions and decorative pillows are HUGE and they have to go somewhere when you sleep. That leaves very little room for luggage. The armoire houses the vacuum and ironing board and the dresser has the pack 'n' play in the bottom compartment. This leaves a minimal amount of space to unpack. You have to get very creative with where you put things in order to maximize your space.

We did a value studio for our family of 4 (kids ages 3 and 5) for one night before moving to a value 1BR. It was fine since we knew that we weren't going to unpack. In fact, we had bell services hold most of our luggage until the next day. I don't know where we would have put everything had we brought it up.

A value studio is about right for a party of two. Any more and it would be awful. Even a one bedroom might be too small.

Are the 3 adults related?

My DD(21) and I stayed in a "dedicated" (not connected to an one bdrm) value studio this summer. Definitely cozy. It's 315 sq ft, I believe, which is smaller than a deluxe resort room. My daughter said that MAYBE one more person if it was her sister ;) for a longer period.

I think the question is where do you usually stay? If you've stayed in a value for a week and survived, then maybe. If you are used to a deluxe room, then probably not.
