I finished packing the kids clothes this morning. I threw in an extra sweater/sweatshirt and an extra pair of jeans for each of them. I figure that should cover it. If not I can always have them laundered so they can wear them again. Also, I changed my daughters sleeveless shirts to short sleeved shirts. Other than that I am sticking with summer clothes. Compared to the four inches of snow that we received last night 70 degrees will probably feel great.

Good luck with your flight Vicki and have a great time we will see you on Wednesday!!!!

Here is the baggage count for the four of us. Four backpack carryons, 1 Garment bag, 3 rolling duffel bags and two booster seats. It should be a challenge getting through the airport! (I felt like I was packing light)

I Can't wait to see all of you on Thursday. 4 days until we fly out.

You are sooooooo far ahead of us

I'm doing laundry, and I still have 3 pair of shorts thrown on top of a suitcase. We leave for the airport in exactly 19 hours.
Plus, I still have 2 work projects that I need to finish.

If you saw my house you wouldn't think that I was ahead of you. It looks like a tornado only hit the inside. I am going to start cleaning the basement as soon as i can pull myself away from this computer.

Okay, here I am replying to my own message again. I am in awe of all of you who can control yourself long enough for someone else to reply. Well, my husband has packed and the kids are packed but I have not packed my own items yet. I want to one more time before I pack my bag.

I can't believe we only have three days until we leave. Our flight is in the early afternoon so I am calling it two and 1/2. It just sounds better.

Normally we go out to eat once or twice on the weekend but so far this weekend we haven't. I figure we will be eating out for seven days. (I don't think my husband was thrilled with the frozen cheese pizza that he had for lunch.) But I am trying to clean out the fridge and freezer. So we will be eating what's leftover for the next two and 1/2 days. It will just make the cruise food that much better.

I will see all of you soon. Can't wait.

We are almost done packing. Now if only my daughter would get better. I took her to the doctor and she said it just has to run its course. How is your son doing? 2 1/2 days here too.

VERY COOL! We're supposed to get like 10 inches of snow tonight/tomorrow. We NEVER get hit like that. UGH! I so cannot WAIT to get there!

I am glad to see you made it Vickie, I hope you had an uneventful flight.
I am soooo jelous.

Mclockin- I hope that your daughter is feeling better soon!!! Grant's coughing is slowing down however I am not sure if it is from the nebulizer or the cough syrup that the doctor gave him. Either way he seems fine besides the cough.

I packed half of my stuff this afternoon and will finish either tomorrow or tuesday. There is nothing like waiting until the last minute.

Dawn, are the kids home from school today? On the weather channel it looks like snow was dumped on the northeast. I will pray for a safe trip to the airport and a flight that is on time. Are you flying out on wednesday or thursday? I can't remember.

In my pre-vacation excitement I began Googling more about the cruise and found this forum! Wish I would have found it sooner!

I've been on the Magic with a large group of family members in 2000. Even almost 10 years ago, it was the most memorable vacation I can remember being on.

My wonderful GF Katie and I are college undergraduates who were looking for a more romantic, more relaxing Spring Break trip than many of our friends are going on.

We got a great rate thru AAA by booking in Nov. and we can't wait to get out of here (we're in the Cleveland suburbs, where today's high was 19F and we've had a foot of snow on the ground since October)

Needless to say, we don't care what the weather's like in the Bahamas- It's guaranteed to be nicer than it is here.

Hi Nick welcome to the dis boards. I am sorry that you found us so late but better late than never.

Dawn or anyone who has cruised prior-question for you can my husband wear dress pants and a short sleeve polo (golf type) shirt with dress pants to dinner or should it be a long sleeved button down dress shirt? I don't want him to look out of place but I also don't want him taking over the garment bag. Right now he is hogging the entire garment bag and I am trying to find room for 1 dress.

I can't wait to see everyone on Thursday.

WoooHooo! This has all snuck up on us and now he are getting soooo excited. I finally told my kids about the trip yesterday. So, let the begin!

We had a very rare snow day here today. That's making the packing a tad more difficult but moving slowly along. I was able to try clothes on my daughter this morning to make sure what fit and what didn't. Good thing too, a couple outfits were a tad too snug. The booger grew on me over the winter.

As expected she is already balking about the kids club and not wanting to go. I told her I had friends all lined up for her so please don't make a liar out of me. Promanade Deck at 3pm--right? Looking for a freckle faced beefy dude and another family with colorful name shirts. A coughing boy. Anyone else need to add descriptions? LOL!

I filled out all of my online registration forms a few minutes ago so more progress...that's great for me. Total procrastinator here. ARGH!

The only night they would like you to dress up a bit is 'formal' night. Other than that even khaki's & polo shirt are fine. Unless you're doing palo in which case the dress for dinner is still more 'business' than business casual.

The word of the day...TOMORROW!!!! Our plane leaves tomorrow at 3:05p from Philadelphia... We're staying at the Radisson and will likely have dinner at Kelsey's (italian place right next door to the hotel) probably sometime around 6:30 or so. If I don't see you in the port, we'll see you at 3pm in the Promenade Lounge!!! (Reminder...we'll be wearing polo shirts with our names on them).

We have a student/teacher conference at 11:30, will pick up DD at school around 12:30, then be on our way. Probably won't be checking into Country Inn and Suites until 9-10:00. See everyone on the boat!

Tomorrow!!! Is that possible, I have too many things that I haven't finished like packing. I will be taking the kids to school in the morning and picking up DD from preschool when it ends at 10:00 and then we will pick up DS at 10:15. Tonight he has alot of homework to work on. Our flight leaves at 1:10 from Kansas city and we will arrive at country inn & suites around 7:00 pm. ( I think we are going to eat in orlando before we head over to country inn and suites. It will probably be too cold for a dip in the pool so I am sure that we will go to bed early. (My kids never sleep well the first night away from home.) I can't wait to meet all of you at 3:00 thursday.

We're basically done packing, but I've been keeping an eye on the weather and I think I may need to pack an extra pair of pants. It's supposed to be kinda chilly on Thursday in Cape Canaveral... Of course, 70 is still warmer than the 20 degree weather we're experiencing here today, but still...

I can't contain myself it is 9:00 central time and I will be picking up my daughter in less than an hour, followed by my son. Our flight is at 1:10 and I can't wait to arrive. I didn't sleep well last night, slept from 10 to 2:30 and then couldn't sleep (nervous about the flight.) I took a xanax which put me to sleep but when I woke up at 6:00 I felt like I was drunk. It is wearing off now. I can't believe the day is here, I will see all of you tomorrow I hope that everyone has a safe trip.
