Anyone seen it on there? I’ve checked multiple times since Tuesday and don’t have the show to download. And I REALLY want to hear Pete’s opinion.

I have not seen it on Apple podcast yet. Most of the shows that have been released this week to YouTube have not appeared either. My guess is that with all of the activities this week, the shows haven't been pushed out to Apple podcast. Not quite sure the process the team has to go through to get the shows onto the various podcast platforms. But it seems it usually takes a couple of days after the YouTube video is up before they show up in my podcast feed. Then it seems that all of them appear all at once.

Oh good I thought it was just me.

In a way, the delay is actually good. That way I can listen to the latest show on my flight to Orlando in a few days.

If it were posted on time, I'd be tempted to listen before that!

I was just reading about this! Apparently Apple podcast doesn’t host or store your content, you have your own hosting site, you set up with Apple a permanent RSS feed link and once every day (or whatever) Apple Podcast does a check to see if there has been any changes to your feed. The other services run updates off Apple’s updates. Apple could check 5 minutes later or 2 days.

I have always wondered why they don’t pre-load the prerecorded content to compensate for the audio delays and so it goes up on the right day. But it seems like once it’s loaded to your host it’s fair game, so Apple could technically sweep through 5 minutes later, publish it a day early and undercut your YT views.

I am sure that’s not exactly right, so can someone with experience explain it to me? I am interested in the technology side of how this works with Apple, my mind is a little blown here since I didn’t realize the extra steps.

I'm pretty sure Craig has explained it before, but I unfortunately don't remember where and I think there is extra work involved with Podcasts vs. YouTube. I'm not going to even begin to pretend I know what that is, but would at least explain why things don't upload to Apple/Google as quickly. I usually watch on YouTube, but I also subscribed on Google Podcasts and I don't see it there either so it's not just Apple. I would imagine part of it is because of the last minute decision to do a show since they were originally not going to have one on Tuesday and all the events they've been attending this week.

I don't use Apple Podcasts - I use Podcast Addict app on an Android phone. Still waiting for this episode to show up.

FYI, I just checked my Apple Podcast feed and all of the DIS shows just showed up for me. This includes the Dreams Unlimited show and DVC show from Monday, the Tuesday WDW show, the Dining show and DCL show from Wednesday and then a Best and Worse show from today.

Based on this, I just checked on my Apple podcast, as well, and the Tuesday show is now available. Was not there this morning on my drive in to work.

I listen on Apple podcast every week on my work commute. The show on Tuesday always shows up on the podcast on Thursday. So I either have to watch it on You Tube if I need immediate gratification, or I have to be patient and wait until Thursday pretty much every week.

It always takes until late Wednesday or sometimes early Thursday for the audio of Tuesday's show to get posted to the podcast app. That's always been my experience.

The audio podcasts have for quite a while now been a much lower priority, and seem to get uploaded when they get around to them. Some weeks it's just a day or two delay, other weeks it can be longer. Other podcasts I listen to are generally all available on their scheduled release date and within 24 hours or sooner from when the live podcast actually occurred. Of particular relevance, the old Disneyland show (not the last, more recent version obviously), which I believe was always on Sunday evenings, would be available in iTunes for me Monday morning like clockwork. YouTube is their much higher priority now, which is fine and their prerogative, so you just have to accept there will be a however-many-day delay in getting the audio versions, unfortunately.

For what it is worth, the 3/3 episode has not shown up on Google Play. Like others, I enjoy listening to the updates on my commute. In the meantime, I've been listening to Disney Wars. Wow. It is certainly a great listen/read to learn about the business side of the company.

You may want to check again. I usually use Google Podcast over Google Play, but the show is there for me in both spots.

I make enough remarks about how long the audio podcasts sometimes take to be posted that I feel I should send out a "good job, thanks!" message today. I was able to access this week's Disney World podcast by 3pm Tuesday through iTunes.

Yep. I was just coming on to post the same thing. I opened my app when I went out to run earlier and was surprised to see it there.

Thanks! You were right. The podcasts appear to be post faster on Google Podcasts.

I find that true with all the podcasts I listen to. I would have assumed it would be the same for both since both are Google, but apparently not. I also find Google Podcast to be a bit more user friendly as well.
