Hi! I'm enjoying your report! I love TRs of people w/o kids! Nothing against em or anything like that...I just have a hard time relating since I don't have any kids.

Question about the pot pie...does it normally look like that (a piece of toast on top chicken in pot pie sauce as opposed to a standard pie) or was it only like that because you got it made gluten free?

Thanks! I totally feel the same way, plus I love finding other people with out kids who are as obsessed with Disney as we are!

The pot pie is normally kind of deconstructed. The regular one comes with more of a puff pastry, I believe. Whatever the bread part is, there is one on top and then one on the bottom drowning in all the inside goodness! Yummmm.

Been following along, but too busy to post until now.
I post on very few TRs, but yours caught my eye.
If you're interested, I'm doing one right now too, but it's very different from a Disney TR!

This was the first time we stayed on site and we weren't sure what to expect but everything was nice enough and went smoothly.

Staying on site is amazingly better then off, don't you think?

And this is probably the clearest photo I have of my arm:

When we got out of TSMM (which Pete just barely beat me at. Pfft)

we ducked into ABC Commisary to grab a bite to eat while we waited. I haven't heard many great things about it but THEY HAD GLUTEN FREE CHICKEN FINGERS!!!!

These were actually really really good. Not greasy at all and they were HOT. Pete wasn't hungry and didn't end up getting anything, but man, I really enjoyed these chicken fingers.

I could be wrong... but I think that's the first time I've heard anyone praise ABC Commisary!

So, I'm a huge Weird Al fan. For those of you who don't know, he has a song called "Skipper Dan" about being a Jungle Cruise skipper.

Did not know that.

This, along with the fact that I live for puns and bad jokes,

I think you and I would get along just fine then.

Maddie and Pete were stuck in a small town and bored out of their minds.
They asked the person at the front desk if there was anything to do.
"Well," replied the front desk person. "You could always go to our zoo. It's not very big, though."
So Maddie and Pete set out in search of the zoo.
At last they found it.
But it only had one cage.
And inside the cage was only one animal.
And the animal was only a dog.

So, of course...

It was a shih tzu.

Obviously we figured this would be the perfect time to go on the Haunted Mansion.

Small correction.
Anytime is the perfect time to go on HM.

And not just because it's my favorite ride.

After exploring Gaston's Tavern, we saw that the wait for Ariel's Grotto was 5 minutes and I FREAKED.

I'd never done any character meet and greets before and I was starting with my all time fav and oh my god Pete how is my hair what do I say I'm so nervous am I sweating too badly?!

OMG! Relax!

We went and checked out Pete's Silly Side Show after. There wasn't much going on, but Pete enjoyed it

Of course he did!

Then we went on Space because duh.

Well put.

My best friend and I always talk about how Lincoln was "the hottest prez"

I've never, ever thought about Lincoln that way... or that anyone would!

What a absolutely perfect way to end our first day.

I definitely agree that anytime is a good time for HM. We has both never been on it at night. It definitely helped make it a little spookier!

Pete is a lucky guy but I'm also a lucky lady! He's the best and I couldn't ask for a better person to go to Disney with. It makes me so happy to see how excited he gets

Thanks! I could not believe the rain. I usually have flip flops and a poncho with me but was so excited to head to the parks once we got to our resort, that I totally forgot them! I try to not let a little rain get to me, but man! That was some RAAAAAIN!

So Pete is a hard working guy who at the time of our trip had been working 7 days a week for about 2 years. I really wanted to try and hit at least one rope drop, for both the opening ceremony and just so I could hit a lot of rides before it got really busy. I told him that he could totally sleep in and that I was happy to go to the parks by myself. I walk a lot faster than he does

Naturally I missed it all by about 5 minutes, but it really didn't matter. I was just happy to be home.

I took a while to really just walk around and explore. I knew that this early on in the day I should be trying to pack in all the rides with long waits, but there was just so much to see that I couldn't help but wander around.

Eventually I walked by Peter Pan and figured this was my best opportunity to catch this ride for the first time. I honestly could not believe how much I loved this ride. I really don't like the movie all that much (Pan is kind of a jerk, amirite?!) but the ride was just so sweet and completely not what I was expecting at all.

Then IASW was a walk on and I knew Pete was NOT going to want to do that one, so I hopped in my own boat and sailed around the world

Don't worry, I made sure to keep my flash off and my phone screen dimmed for the ride

As I left the ride, I was THRILLED to run into the Tremaines. I had been hoping to meet them and it was definitely my favorite meet and greet of the trip!

With every character I met, I felt pretty rushed, really only because I didn't want to hold up the line. This was probably the only time I felt ok really taking time to chat with them all.

They asked if I was any good at chores, but I regretfully told them I was much better at being a Princess.

We didn't do Peter Pan this trip (we only do it if it is the very first ride we do when we get to MK because we just don't want to wait for 60 minutes or use a fastpass for it).

Love your photos with the Tremaines. We had our best character interaction with them at or trip last year. Mark asked them is the castle was haunted and this was the result:

Hah!! That's such a great photo!! They are such fun characters. I really hope Disney is getting the idea about how popular villains are and will be having more around. They just seem to be a lot more fun! We really wanted to meet gaston too but the timing just never worked out! More villains please!!

I forgot to add that Pan walked by as I was with the tremaines and they all yelled at him, which was another fun moment!

He did need a break! He's a total workaholic and never wants to rest so I'm glad he was able to relax on our trip!

I think that photo is actually when lady tremaine asked about how good I am at chores. They may have been the only characters not to comment on my tattoos!

haha I've loved Weird Al since I was little! My mom wouldn't let us listen to the radio and thought he was a "safe" alternative for us. I guess it just stuck! My mom and I have seen him live a few times and it's always a lot of fun. I think he's about to put out a new album soon so maybe we'll go see him again!

I was so excited to find that hairbow. I had seen someone wearing one and went into SO many shops to try and find it. Minnie Ears always seem to end up hurting my head so it was a nice alternative!

So, all morning I kept texting Pete to see if he was awake. The plan was to meet him at Epcot once he got up.

While waiting for a response, I wandered more. Rode a couple more rides. Hit Space Mountain again.

I clearly thought Dumbo was super cute.

The thing about Pete, is that he sleeps really really hard. So my phone calls and texts all morning were of no avail. So, I figured I would just go to Epcot on my own and that he had to wake up at some point!

I really enjoyed Living with the Land and knew that Pete would really like this ride. Our dream is to one day have an alpaca farm! But, anyways, you snooze you lose! Literally!

I then grabbed a snack at Sunshine Seasons. Everything there looked so good but I didn't want to eat too much so that Pete and I could have lunch together! As sad as this tuna looks, it was pretty good!
I kept calling Pete and couldn't get a hold of him, so I finally just called the resort and had them call the room.

FINALLY HE IS UP!
