3/28FINALLY COMPLETED*August 2013*I can't go to Disney without a Pete!

Wonderful updates, Maddie.

I love the new Mermaid ride; I know it's not a big hit with most of the DIS as you said, but it is just what I expected for a "kids" ride.

Sounds like you had a good time at Epcot, and then you got to the MK and more magic. I can understand the tears at BOG...I got tears the first time we ate there too (we have eaten there three times now).

I am gluten free and super excited now!

Question- how do you have just one beer, stop, and have such a long day?

I would be asleep!

I get so excited to go to Disney just because of the huge variety of things I am able to eat!

I had been eating (gluten free) granola bars that I brought from home most days on this trip for breakfast and I believe the day of this last post we got lunch in Morocco again, which I didn't feel the need to include because we just got the same thing we did last time :) We eat a lot!
And for the most part, I have like super human energy when we are at Disney. I'm so excited the whole time!

Thanks Kathy!

Little Mermaid is colorful and fun and has the songs I know and love in it, so I don't really know what else people could ask for from it!

Been there.

Hey that's great!
So we can expect another TR, then?
Hmmmmm?????

And?
Get sick?
Or did you do non-spinning MS?

I could not for the life of me remember what BOG stood for?
I kept thinking, "Bog? As in swamp? No. Beauty or... Geast? Gaston?"

Dang it!

Had to look it up....

Then, "D'oh!"

I never knew about the snow.
That's so cool.

No pun intended.

And considering the amount of that crap that I've had to shovel this winter...
I'm surprised that I feel that way.

If I can ever get through this one, then yes, maybe I'll do another!

We went Orange on Mission:Space. Neither of us get sick on rides! Bring on the spinning!

The coolest part about the snow is that it's actual clips from the movie. They make it totally seamless too! I watched for a really long time to see where it starts over but couldn't pick it out!

After a perfect and magical dinner, we hopped on the People Mover to kill some time before Wishes.

I totally love this ride and there was almost no one else on it. It was so peaceful and a lovely way to relax after a nice dinner. We then got on Carousel of Progress. The audio didn't work for the the first half of the first scene but it came back soon enough! Finally we went and scoped out a spot for Wishes.

Obviously I was weeping at this point. Haven't you been following along?!

Here we goooooo

I just realized that I totally love this photo because it's what has preceeded the beginning of all of my favorite movies. I didn't even realize that this was what they were doing while it happens. UGH I LOVE THIS.

Tink!

The gift basket my lovely friend Meggi had sent us had these great little 3d glasses in it that make all fire work sparks Mickey shaped! I don't know if you can buy these in any of the stores (you must be able to, right?) but they are so neat!

Once I rung out my face, we ducked down the way by Crystal Palace to get out of the masses hearding out. We were going to take a selfie, but a lovely young couple offered to take our photo if we took theirs. Of course!
IMG_4585.jpg
I love this photo. I just wish it wasn't so grainy. God where is my lighting crew when I need them. Then the parade started!
IMG_4562.jpg
We walked towards the exit and kept stopping to watch. Any reason to stay a little longer!

Pete's favorite float! He loves America! After that I think we actually headed to dtd. We got on a bus to Fort Wilderness I believe and then tried to get a bus from there to dtd. By the time we got down there, everything was closed and I was totally exhausted, so we headed back to ASMu for one last sleep at home.

I might've been on it when I was a kid (about 230 years ago), but I honestly can't remember.

That must've been a little weird!

Obviously I was weeping at this point.

Obviously! :rotfl:

Yes!

:lmao: Just another random firework, right?

Didn't even see her (him?) at first.

So were the fireworks better with them on? Or off?

Once I rung out my face,

 Love that visual!

God where is my lighting crew when I need them.

Sorry, ma'am. We were over at epcot. We thought you were going to watch Illuminations.

Any reason to stay a little longer!

I find it's pretty easy to find excuses to stay in MK longer.

Too bad you got there too late, but considering how pooped you were, maybe that's not such a bad thing.

Thanks for the update! :goodvibes

Maddie, sorry...I got a little behind (work, mom in hospital, son had surgery...you get the picture).

I LOVE your Wishes pictures (it makes me cry every time). And what a lovely picture of the two of you...so glad when someone offers to do that.

Terrific parade pictures too. I WILL see that this year.

Oh my goodness please don't apologize!! I have a really hard time keeping up with all the comments on your trs so I'm sorry I haven't been totally up to speed (I don't know how you do it!) I hope everyone is ok!!

Thanks; mom is home now. She's just suffering a lot of different things with her age (83). My son had shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum and rotator cuff. He's in a lot of pain, but he will be fine after 6 months of rehab.

Oh man I'm so sorry! That's a lot at once! Hope you're all doing ok and will be keeping you in my thoughts!!

Hi Maddie!! Awesome TR. It is so cool that we were in WDW at the same time and we're both from Massachusetts! (I'm from the South Shore.) I'm so excited that you're staying at the Poly this summer!

Oh Maddie I love your reaction to BoG! It is amazingly beautiful. Disney did such an awesome job with every detail! Glad you loved your GF dinner as well. Sounds like they took great care of you. And that the timing worked out to see Wishes, even better!

Your polka dot dress is adorable! The Minnie ears make it absolutely perfect! :thumbsup2

When they get to the last few chorus' of the Wishes soundtrack that's when I lose it. I'm fine and I even fool myself into thinking that I won't cry again but what do you know.... :sad1:

That was a great photo of you and Pete at the end of the evening with the castle in the background.

I didn't even realize you were from mass! I have a lot of friends from the south shore but grew up on the seacoast in Maine and nh and know very little about anything after Boston. Pete is from the north shore so I know that area a little better :)
I can't freaking wait to stay at the poly!

Disney really does such an amazing job accommodating allergies. I feel like a queen at Disney because there are so many options there that I rarely have at home!

A cm ran up to me and was calling me Ms Mouse and talking about how she loves working for my husband because of the dress and ears. It was so fun.

Hi, just stated reading your TR when I saw one of your comments on danimaroos TR. Saw the title of your TR and since I got a dog named Pete I had to take a look. Wish I could take my Pete to WDW. Thinking about trying to get him trained as a therapy dog and insist I need him so I can handle the crowds. One I don't think WDW would accept that excuse and Two, my dog is way too much of a lunkhead to get certified as a therapy dog.
I have been wanting to do a TR, but was apprehensive about the commitment level needed after talking to Dani about it. I like the looks of yours and feel that maybe I can do one. Not that yours looks crappy or anything, it looks good you just stated it was your first so it gives me hope. I also held off because the only camera I've ever had at Disney was my phone. So as long as it was really bright and everyone in frame was willing to hold a smile for five minutes then I could get a good picture.
Now I got a real camera, not a dslr but a really good point and shoot, so maybe on the march trip.
Oh I almost had to not read your TR due to the fact that Pete had a BoSox cap on. Being from Saint Louis I still feel the sting of last October. Luckily your team took out a pretty cool add in our newspaper thanking the Cardinals and fans...way to keep it classy.
You should look into renting DVC points to make the trips a little more affordable. That is what we do and we stay at OKW a lot and now we can go multiple times a year!!!!
You really crack me up with the levels of overwhelmedness (yup it's a word...what) you get when meeting characters and inanimate structures. I mean I get a certain attitude when I get inside the bubble, but you go to a whole new level.
Can't wait to see the end of it and hope you do another one, and what happened to that video?

I always wish I could have my dog at Disney too, but then I think about the heat and she would have to be carried everywhere! Disney would just be too much walking for her :rotfl:

A lot of these photos were taken with my Iphone! It's not a half bad camera for a phone!

I'm glad you appreciate my overwhelmedness! I love it too :goodvibes I love being somewhere where I am overwhelmed with happiness all the time!

I will probably do another TR but August is a long ways away!

Hi! Found your TR while I was reading KatMark's, and just read through it all! You and Pete remind me a lot of me and my husband Dave! I love seeing young couples like us who aren't afraid to act like kids! We are taking a vacation in May to Marco Island where my husband's grandma has a condo, and we are driving up to Orlando for two days to get a day in at the Magic Kingdom, and a day in at Islands of Adventure. This will be my first trip back to Florida/Disney since 2001! Reading your TR has me super excited and I bet I will cry like a baby at Wishes too! Also, we have two "fur" babies that we wish we could take everywhere with us too ;) Oh and one more thing, Little Mermaid was the very first movie I saw in theaters too! I am so stoked to ride TLM ride in New Fantasyland! Hope to see you write another TR for your next trip!
